Apparently, Jackson is day to day.

It was interesting... my roommate and I were talking about a 1st baseman we just picked up from the Nationals off of waivers named Josh Whitesell. If Tracy is not ready to go and Jackson misses extended time (which would be a real shame cuz he has been our best offensive player this year), then look for Whitesell to play some 1st.

The good news... he has more power than Jackson... the bad... he strikes out about as much as Reynolds.

I'm guessing that should Jackson have to be put on the DL (pure speculation, I haven't seen anything other than day to day) that Jamie D'Antona could get the call. He allows the team to spell either Jackson or Reynolds if they need a day off, and can serve as the third catcher as well (see ya, Hammock!).

Webb is just insane today, I would love to see Chris Young get back to hitting homeruns like he did last year too.

Hit one last night and one today for a total of 8 on the season. I kinda like Byrnes leading off and CY hitting in the 3 hole.

Byrnes leading off, are you kidding? They need someone who gets on base a lot. He should be hitting in the 8th spot.

exactly. the only way i like byrnes hitting higher than 8th is when hammock is in the lineup (i like hammock though), and when micah is pitching i want byrnes hitting ninth. he is hurting the team right now. that being said i like drew or hudson batting leadoff, with young batting 3rd.

Byrnes will get out of this funk. Young is a consistent 240 hitter and more power while Byrnes has the capabilities of hitting 290 with speed

and byrnes also has the capability to hit .210 while certainly looking like a frustrated 13 year old in the batting cage. i dont like young at leadoff, i think its a waste of his power. i think drew or hudson would be great in the spot.

Me too. I actually liked the line-up that BoMel came up with today. And, as you can see, it certainly had a lot of success. Hopefully he leaves it as it is for another day or two to see if the results will remain the same.

I recommend you look at Byrnes career totals. He won't hit 290 and his on base % is not good for a leadoff hitter. He is a free swinger and not a very discipline hitter.

I believe that Hudson is our best option at leadoff when he returns.

Young batting 3rd and Upton 5th . . . until Upton has the experience to switch to 3rd and Young 5th.

Y'know, Upton, with his maturity for a 20-year old, just might be ready to take over the 3rd spot now.
