Spivey comes through. Nice game by Curt, but I do want to see the aces flat out dominating. I expect Unit to make his next start a great one. Great game, good luck to Elmer tomorrow!

Elmer will probably come out and throw a friggen no hitter the way the first two games have gone.

And I, for one, devoutly hope you're right!! But a solid win would be more than satisfactory.

Here's to Elmer Dessens' first start for us - Good Luck, keep the ball down, and may your teammates have their hitting shoes on, their running brains engaged, and the local beisbol deities back you up.

Curt DID dominate through 7 innings--just looked like he suddenly "hit the wall" in the 8th. It's rare for starting pitchers to go the distance in the first few weeks of the season...

Amen John. Brenly left Curt out one inning too many. He threw 113 pitches. There were some other examples of leaving aces in too long - Matt Morris and Kevin Millwood both went one inning too many.
