it was a Steven Soderberg movie...Haywire, I think. She also pretty got zero dialogue in Fast and Furious...because she can't act.

and Lawless might have been right from a physical standpoint, but Wonder Woman has to be hot as well. she isn't, IMO.

Sexist! haha.

Disagree. She struggled looking out a car window in Vicky Cristina Barcelona.

Ha! You can disagree all you want but many think otherwise including myself and the GGs are proof. Besides, I have seen bad performances out of good actors but I have never seen good performances out of bad actors.

It will suck such huge donkey d*ck if this movie is a disaster. I just don't know how they pull this off introducing so many ginormous characters all at once.

I know it isn't exactly the same but.

Superman = Luke Skywalker
Batman = Obi Wan Kenobi
Wonder Woman = Princess Leia

It can be done. Still room for a Han Solo too!

Batman has to mentor Supes in this one (I.e. Destroying cities is bad). Maybe the big bad comes from WW's homeland and she follows it to Metropolis/Gotham, but is in some way neutralized. So her role can be smallish while Bats and Supes figure out a way to save the day.

wow...so Superman v. Batman blinked in the war over the May 6th, 2016 release date with Marvel who claimed that date first for Cap 3. I'm kinda stunned. It'll be coming out now in late March...which seems SUPER weird for a tentpole of this size. It won't have the benefit of playing during the summer when kids are out of school.

I could be totally wrong but I think DC always viewed the Captain America franchise probably weaker than the other Marvel properties.....up until the last film. I honestly think that was it. After the first film they thought...eh...no big deal. After the performance and critic reviews of the last...they blinked.

Again...could be totally wrong.

Totally agree. They wanted to put Marvel on notice, but after Cap II, they knew they had to back down.

not only that, but I think Guardians Of The Galaxy just made them realize that the Marvel juggernaut is only growing exponentially in size. Add that to the fact that Cap 3 will likely get a bigger bump considering it's the first Marvel pic after the next Avengers (see Iron man 3 which made 100 million more then a weak 2, likely due to the goodwill the Avengers brought) and you probably have your reason.

still... Superman and Bats are the two most beloved comic books heroes ever...for a team up of them to get out of the way of Captain America is pretty incredible and speaks volumes about the mega machine Marvel has built themselves into.

I'm not sure how much, but WB seems to have an irrational idea that they could make money with Zach Snyder in March. Ever since 300, they've been trying out large action movies in that time frame. Except, none of them have actually made a lot of money since 300.

This movie will make money, but will it make as much as it could in the summer?

I don't know...it's pretty weird. I mean... why not throw it in the Nolan spot the week after the 4th? That summer's not shaping up as all that impressive, IMO. Seems weird to throw that big of an event picture in March. Maybe they're hoping to get a little of the summer action from spring breakers?

Maybe, but that's only a week, maybe two. They're betting a lot on the movie having legs for multiple weeks during a slower time in theaters. Sounds like a huge risk, even for a film with Batman and Superman.

my guess is they look at the month and figure if the first Hunger Games could make 400 million there and Alice In Wonderland could make 340, then Bats v. Supes can do the same. but i agree...this type of movie was MADE for Summer. we'll see what happens.

if it's actually good, it will destroy whatever weakling is in it's path for a solid three weeks. if it's not, it could be the beginning of the end for the entire DC plan. although...probably not. you'd have thought the continuing dimishing returns Sony's getting on the new Spidey reboot would give them pause with their idea of making even more Spidey/Spidey-related films, but it appears as if they're doubling down there with a Sinister-Six movie and a female Spideywomanish movie. How they think those are going to be successful...without Spiderman in them, only God knows.

This movie is turning into not just a giant gamble, but a giant cluster-thing for DC. It's a huge risk to begin with, throwing all of these characters into one movie before establishing them separately. Casting choices have been questionable at best. The director isn't a great choice, according to a film buff buddy of mine. Now this?

This movie's either going to completely knock it out of the park, or it's going to bomb on an epic scale. I'd have to say I'm leaning towards the latter right now, which is sad. Sure, Marvel's doing a great job, but the more good comic book movies, the better, IMO.

lol...I'm not calling you a troll here, I but I still REALLY can't square the notion of "MAKE SOMETHING ORIGINAL" with "the more comic book movies, the better, IMO".

Here's what is scaring me about the movie. Lex Luther is being played by Jesse Eisenberg. How's that going to work out? Don't get me wrong, I really like him as an actor, but playing Lex Luther? I don't know. There's are a TON of ifs in the movie for me.

Okay, more NEW comic book movies. Better? If they never make another Spider Man movie, it'll be too soon. Too many reboots of Super Man and Batman (a nail in this movie's coffin already). But there are a ton of others out there that haven't been done. Heck, they just pulled off Guardians of the Galaxy.

Batman reboots have been great. I haven't seen the latest Spiderman on but heard it was worse then the movie Pain and Gain, which was horrible! Still I will need to see it with my own eyes to make sure. :D

Batman reboots don't bother me. They can do those forever because there are so many iterations of the character to draw upon. What bugs me is that so far, we only get versions of Frank Miller's Batman.

Good lord... Aquaman? So, they're going to be introducing Aquaman, Wonder Woman, Lex Luther, and new Batman into this universe all in one movie? Its safe to say this thing is going to easily exceed a 3 hour running time.

I'm having a difficult time not seeing this as a train wreck in the making.
