Hey, are you guys ok? I'm starting to get worried about you. I haven't heard from you all week, this is really not cool guys you can't just go silent on us. What happened to the phone calls to our local sports shows where you laugh about how pathetic the Cardinals are?

As you know, in the past during the week leading up to the Cardinals Vs. Seahawks games there has been constant trash talk from your end. Even when were down on our luck with injuries you guys wouldn't let up. You just laughed at us and told us to stop making excuses... Man, we couldn't get you guys off the phone when you got to talking about how pathetic all us Arizonans are.

In the same breath you would say that you couldn't care less about the Cardinals, then you would go on to insult everything about us. Even back then you were sending some mixed messages. I've had to listen to you call our fans a joke, you've insulted my state over and over making jokes about old people and tourism, the clothes we wear,,, I've listened to you disrespect the Cardinals and tell me that they are a joke too and that your team is better regardless of injuries and last year you said on the air that the Cardinals "may never beat us again."

This week? Nothing! Not a peep! I'm worried sick about you guys... I mean, the season isn't over! This week it's time for us to wrap up the season against each other and much to my surprise it's complete silence from your end. Is everything Ok? The weather didn't finally get to you did it? I've heard Seattle is a very depressing place to live.

Really, I am not writing to gloat about us winning the NFC west championship this season or the fact that we spotted you 2 touchdowns in your own stadium and you still couldn't beat us. That game really wasn't close. Remember when Andre Ellington scored that dagger TD and then like, Drew Stanton danced all crazy and it went Viral? Ahhh, memories. Man that was cool,, oh I'm sorry I'm getting off track here. I'm sure that was embarrassing, we're sorry.

To show our compassion, here is what is happening. We were thinking about hanging our new banner up on Sunday, but the way you guys are acting were considering putting it off. Mental health is not a joke and we want you guys to know that football is just a game. Well, here in Arizona it is. I mean when the Cardinals lose we are sad but we usually get cheered up by sunshine, clear skies, picturesque trails and lush golf courses. You guys don't get that opportunity and that is what has me so worried about you. We may even go one step further and play this game with the roof open so you guys can actually experience what sunlight looks like for a few hours. Call it a late Christmas gift.

I hate seeing you guys so sad and quiet. You've spent years trying to convince the world that the 12s aren't a bunch of derivative bandwagoners, so I really hope this trend of silence doesn't continue for you guys. See, how it works is, to NOT be a bandwagoner, you have to support your team all the time. You can't just run your mouth when things are going good and then disappear at the first sign of adversity.

Anyways, I hope all is well. I hope you all had a Merry Christmas and a happy new year. Please check in at some point, just so we know you guys are safe. I hope I'm not overstepping my bounds here. We're not that close and I may not be "entitled" to worry about you, but I do it anyways, because I care. If you need me I will be in my trailer park in Scottsdale feeling very entitled, wearing my affliction T shirt talking to old people about what my next tattoo will be all whilst practicing my golf swing.

Love,

#Birdgang

PS. Oh, just one more thing I totally forgot what I was going to say originally. You know how you get to talking and then you lose your train of thought? Man I hate when that happens, anyways the point I'm making is simply this:

SUCK IT

Sea change in attitude

Seattle sports talk has been pretty consistently calling AZ the best team in the NFL this week.

The game in Seattle WAS close, talk **** after we win

We already did.

Thanks for completely missing the point. It has nothing to do with anything we did or anything we have done. Its all about their attitude and how it has changed between when they are winning compared to when they are losing. The very definition of a "bandwagoner."

PS Stop skirting the language filter.

Your points become moot if they beat us this weekend. And if it wasn't about "anything we did or have done" why is your whole post about the past.

I'm just saying Seattle is dangerous, and to be boasting like this, you may just find yourself eating crow.

PS I'm not skirting anything?

I Don't know man what their issues are and I am really concerned. I even invoked the names of Steve Largent and Jim Zorn and over half their fans did not know what I was talkin' about lol

No, the points are still valid even if they win because a team is judged on their season and we won the West because they are not that dangerous anymore... if they would beat us in the playoffs, then you would have a point :)

That matchup is possible! I've been saying for the past few weeks, I would not want to face them in the playoffs.

We are going to have to beat someone really dangerous to go the Super Bowl. Personally, I'd rather face Seattle than Carolina right NOW (as in that could change based on what happens in the next couple of weeks).

Buddy, if they beat us and then their media comes back to trash talk and make me "eat crow" they would only be reinforcing my point

I dunno

If the Cards go to two straight Superbowls, winning one - by year 3 I suspect our media (and us) would be just as insufferable

Mid season this year-- they had every right to be cocky.

The vibe right now in Seattle for this weekend: that of expectation management. "Arizona has everything to play for, the Seahwks don't". "I just want them to play well -- a loss won't matter". "Let's be ready for the playoffs".

Who cares what others think, I'm so sick of listening to Cards fans bitch & moan for the publicity of this team. This team gets more respect every week & every win.

I see no sense in rubbing anyone or a specific team in it!!! The Big Red hasn't won Jack yet, we've got bigger goals.

Stop acting like other teams fans. Win with class, lose with class.

This was supposed to be light hearted and funny.

I managed to poke a little fun at Brock who is the most pompous jerk in the media and I did it without calling his state "one big trailer park" and I did it without calling all Seahawks fans "scumbags" and all the other hate he threw at us the past 3 years. I simply called out a notorious blow hard who is suddenly silent. I am a freaking Saint in terms of class compared to the Seattle media.

Some of you are funny with this superstitious nonsense. Do you really think my attitude towards Brock Hugetard is going to affect the outcome of Sunday's game or any other down the road? Jeepers! Lighten up guys. I mean if u just didn't think it was funny I can live with that but I doubt my post is going on the Seahawks bulletin board lol.

I think the OP was humorous; and true!

Last year some guy at the Waste Management Open (golf tourney at TPC Scottsdale), wanted to get into it with me, because I called a group of Seahawk fans band-wagoners.

He stated that he was a long-time Seahawk fan. My reply, "Oh, you're the One!"

Haha that is funny! Yeah my neighbor is a big Packer fan and last year during the playoffs he had a Seattle flag up, I was like really???? To which he gave the standard Seattle bandwagoner response: I've ALWAYS been a Seahawks fan. Lol. Him and everyone in Tucson! Haha

How to tell a true "long time Seahawk fan":

Mention the name Jack Patera. If they look at you like you have lobsters crawling out of your ears(thank you Ralphie Parker) then they're not a long time Seahawk fan. Any team less than 40 years old, you should know that team's history inside and out. Personally I love hitting "fans" of any team up about their team's history. Even our own fans. How many know about John David Crow or Paddy Driscoll or Ernie Nevers or Charlie Johnson or Ollie Matson and the like. Hell, you probably have many Arizona Cardinal fans who know little to nothing about the St. Louis days. I love the game and the history of the game.

My sister, a lifetime Rams fan, started wearing a Seahawks shirt a couple of years ago. I rolled my eyes.

People hoping we get this seed or that seed so we can avoid this team or that team or whatever, that's just weak. We're going to have to beat some great teams to win the SB.

The only reason I want the #1 seed is to have home field. #2 seed is okay, but only because we get a home game. I'm not interested at all in dodging anyone.

If I had it my way, we'd have home field and play all the best teams, or at least "supposed" best teams. I'd play Seattle, crush them, and Carolina in the NFC Championship and beat their ass too. Then the SB, I hope we don't play some weak team, I don't want to see KC, it won't be legit. I want to beat a NE to win it all. I initially wanted a Pitt V Cards SB to get some revenge, but they didn't hold up their end of the bargain.

We have a great team, let's stop living in fear and looking for the easiest way to the SB.
