Dear Kev,

Please go out there and make me look foolish for all the nasty things Ive said about your talents and tear the Cowboys defense to shreds tomorrow. It would be some very tasty crow to eat.

Sincerely,

Me

I don't know why everyone's worried? We known Ken Whisenhunt has shown in the past he will double team their best pass rusher, to allow the quarterback to settle in. :mulli:
Seriously, if Kolb has a chance they better protect him and let him start stepping up in the pocket instead of running around like someone's trying to steal his lunch money.

The first time I see Kolb run out of the pocket to his right after two seconds into the play, I think I will be inventing new expressions of vulgarity along with "put sucky Skelton back in there". What gets me even more mad is the fact that I think he could be a good QB, but this total lack of staying in the pocket is unreal

I'm afraid that Kevin will duck and run and get hurt, Skelton will finish the game. I hope he has settled down and simply follows through on his passes which will will lower the trajectory.

I think he's shellshocked from that brutal hit he took in the Washington game, the TD to Fitz. He stood strong there. That's the last time I can remember him staying in the pocket.

Kolb didnt not look great. But he didnt run backwards and kill us. He actully had very good pocket awareness today. The Cowgirls were getting alot of pressure.

It was a step forward for Kolb and the team today IMO.

Give the O-line some credit today as well. A tough D-line to play and they held it together mostly.

Kolb was as bad as he has been all year in the 1st half, and looked like a totally different player in the 2nd half.

He was not great, but its a start and its something to build on. He was getting time to throw all game and its almost like he didnt realize until the 3rd quarter. Also him realize that Roberts is on the team was a big help.

How many times did he stand there and not throw the ball? Then get creamed. What was he waiting for? Throw the ball to someone. If they are not open throw it away.

He was great in the second half, after being rusty in the first half after being out a month. And you are correct, this is definitely a performance to build on.

I'm very realistic about our playoff changes, and at 1-6 I just wanted to see improvement -- we have definitely seen that, and especially hoping Kolb can build on his second half performance and we end the season strong!

Definitely made strides today, and led us to a victory today after a strong second half. I only saw that crazy chicken act once, and he had good pocket awareness, as you mentioned. He still needs to work a ton on the offense, which is fine, and he definitely has to learn to throw that ball away if he doesn't have an open receiver. He just exorcised the crazy chicken; he doesn't need possessed by Rob Johnson :D

Solid, not spectacular game. I hang this one on the defense again. Great job by them to keep Arizona close through the first half.

QB Rating 109.9

QBR of 54.something, and that was after the overtime catch-and-run, which inflated his stats like crazy.

Coming out of 4 quarters his QB Rating was something in the ballpark of 85, which was above what he'd done on the season.

First half was all about shaking off the rust. The second half, he was a completely different guy.

He did step up into the pocket quite a bit and when he did scramble, he at least ran laterally instead of backwards. He kept some plays alive long enough to make something happen.

And he didn't make a single mistake that cost his team points. That was a nice change from the last few weeks of Skelton at QB.

Yeah but the catch and run only happened because Kolb evaded the pass rush and got outside.

Great run by hyphen after the catch adn great blocking but like the one against Pitt(or Bal I forget) a key part of it was the QB getting him the ball.

Hell it wouldn't have even come to that if possibly if Doucet didn't drop that ball on the prior drive that would have easily given us a first down. ANd that was a great play by Kolb too.

He didn't play a great game but he was much better in the 2nd half, you can win games with the Kolb we saw in the 2nd half.

Just accept that K-9 will hate until it's absolutely impossible to continue doing so. He was certain that Washington was a scrub and bust until 4-5 games ago when suddenly he became the best player on the D and a rising star lol. Same thing with Beanie.
