By far the best Cardinal site!!!

Not new to the site...been reading for the past two years (nearly everyday)...an observer I guess. I was born in St. Louis and have been a diehard fan ever since.

I am wondering where I should go to get decent tickets for the December 21st game in Seattle. Should I check the main Cardinal site or Seahawk site or???

I live in Bend, Oregon and plan on making the six hour trip to see the Cardinals.

I know tickets are not on sale, but I need to get my money in order and bills taken care of and a little prep goes a long way. I figure you guys would know the best places to go so here I post for the first time...asking for something.

Specific telephone numbers and/or websites would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you ahead of time and keep up the best Cardinal site around!

Watching, reading and cheering for the Arizona Cardinals,
Kale Zahniser

Thanks...

Thanks for the quick reply KingofCards.

The site says tickets are for sale? I will call the 888 number and ask for more info.

Others please give more suggestions as I like to shop for the best deal.

Thanks again Kingof Cards!

Go Cardinals and CRUSH the Seahawks!

Ham and bourbon?

Spiral or water-packed ham...big difference you know.

Bourbon? You leave yourself wide-open as far as quality or is it just quantiity?

Thanks maddogkf.

What?
I have some insight into the Hawks games. Some very cool people I have met over the last year. We don't agree who will win but they are good people anyway. PM me and I'll give you a link to "The Family". Sounds strange, Italians and Hawks? WTF! Not like Seattle is little Italy but they are a really cool group. I would have no problem sending a Cards fan into the mix. I'm sure some tikets for the game would be available.

It is very possible as the Zahniser family came over from Germany in the 1750's. Most of us are located in the eastern states. I don't know Ed by name or face, but the Zahniser name is pretty rare.

Thanks for asking.

I found tickets on ticketmaster.com section110 row B on the side of the Cardinals bench...will probably purchase tickets if I don't get more responses by Wednesday.

Thanks for everyone reading and responding.

Go Cardinals!

Alright... another Oregonian Cardinal fan.

Welcome....

I believe there is a BendCardFan on this board as well. I don't believe he/she posts much though.

Hello PortlandCardFan!

I noticed the BendCardFan several months ago when I was reading everyone's posts. I hope to drink a beverage with them and you sometime.

Few Cardinal fans in Oregon or so it seems. I just hope the bandwagon fans don't start jumping on when the Cardinals start kicking some serious buttocks this year!

Good to hear from you.

You may wanna try and call and ask someone in the Seahawks ticket office about those seats before confirming your purchase. Sometimes those lower rows behind the benches have the view of the field obstructed by the players standing on the sidelines. Not sure if the stadium has built the stands "up" so as to take that out of play, but you may wanna try and check, or opt for seats in a higher row.

Good luck!

I know you can get tickets off of Seahawks website but it just may redirect you to TicketMasters.

I will be heading up to that game as well. It really sucks that it is so close to Christmas cuz my wife is going to have a kaniption fit.

I also heard that taking the train from Portland to Seattle is quite a blast. Might be an option.

We could get all Oregon Cardinal fans together and head up to Seattle??

I think there a few of us. I went to Home Depot last summer and this guy working there started freaking out because I was wearing my Cardinal hat. I told him about ASFN but I don't think he posts are gets on the internet.

Around the Bend...

I live in Bend, Oregon
There used to be a kickass rotissery baseball site operating out of Bend.

They played out the entire season on a PC or Game Boy - which enabled each participant to field and manipulate a 25 man roster and then receive 6 completely play by play results per week.

You could preset threshholds for pulling starters, pinch hitting, bunting, stealing, platooning etc.

The only (correctable) flaw was that they couldn't keep everything in synch all the time and would have to play "catch up" in order to keep the stats honest (i.e. I'd lose 8 straight games and then win one game 47 to 3).

But I loved that Fantasy League, and hoped someone would run a Fantasy Football League in the same (play by play) manner.

This board didn't exsist when I lived in Oregon, or I may have been "DallasCardFan" or "Salem.Ken"...

I was just curious, since I knew Ed was from the PNW orginially (like me) and was a big Cardinals fan when he was here.

There can't be too many Zahnisers running around, can there? :D

dud, I mean BUD???

Here in Central Oregon they have places called microbreweries.

I suggest a case of Mirrorpond over the water that you have requested.

T-bones? Good choice! Medium-rare I hope...little pink with the juices flowing...this leads to the last request...Candy.

I knew a "Candy" once...I was the wingman that night and my friend was very lucky or got lucky in this case...I just wish it wasn't in the backseat of my car with me and my date in the front seat...good for him, but akward for me.

Good to hear from you Navy Mike.

Remember Mirrorpond...an ale with a beautiful flavor!

Later, Kale

Realistically, you could probably get scalper tickets pretty easily.
The December tailgating should be perfect.

Welcome aboard.
I'll take a six pack of Bud tall boys and a garbage bag full of kettle corn!

Cardinal Bob...exactly!

Forty to forty-five yard line on the visitor's side second row????

It seems to good to be true. I plan on calling like you suggested. I would like to be near the players, but if I can't see the game it would bum me out.

Thanks for the suggestion,

Kale

Cardinal.Ken...need some help please.

PNW? I missed something or I just don't get it. Could you help me out? Thanks.

When did you live in Oregon? Dallas? Eugene? What were you doing for work?

Oregon has it all...the beautiful coast line, the Central Oregon high desert with the Cascade mountain range, the fishing, hiking, boating, mountain biking...the list could go on.

Thanks for the post,

Kale

Section 11,

Kettle Corn...I just started coming around to the stuff. Last Halloween my wife, son and I were out pumpkin hunting and they were selling the stuff...Sunday morning, cool weather and Kettle corn...good stuff.

I will not fill the order for piss water. Again, try Mirrorpond from Deschutes Brewery here in Bend, Oregon.

Scalping tickets...for sure, but since I do not go to any games I want the good seats and know what I am getting. I totally agree I (we) could get tickets, but I like to know before I head out on a six hour road trip.

Thanks,
Kale

Thanks Section 11.

PNW..Pacific Northwest...got it.

I was born in St. Louis, lived most of my life in South Dakota and moved to Bend, Oregon in the last five years.

Need to learn the PNW abbreviation.

Indeed, PNW=Pacific North-West

I lived lived in Dallas, Oregon for 10 years. While I bounced from small job to small job, I eventually landed a management gig with the theatre chain in town (Fox Enterprises Inc.,). Bend reminds me of where I grew up in Yakima, Washington, high desert, no rain, cold harsh winters...makes me kind of home sick!

ps: beware of mountain-biking too much in the Cascades, you may inadvertently stumble upon some of those pot-field booby-traps!
