Deion Sanders has been a prominent presence in the 2025 NFL Draft cycle even though the Hall of Fame cornerback is now in the college coaching ranks. His son, Shedeur, is one of the top quarterback prospects in the draft and is widely expected to be a top-10 overall pick. Yet "Coach Prime" has hinted that he wouldn't be happy with Shedeur winding up with certain franchises.

While Sanders never specified which teams might be an issue, the Cleveland Browns were often cited (without any proof) as the team Sanders wanted Shedeur to avoid. Coach Sanders is now trying to put any of those thoughts to rest.

In an appearance on Skip Bayless' YouTube show, coach Sanders indicated his son would be fine playing in Cleveland. Sanders also rattled off all the other teams in the top 10 who are perceived to have some potential interest in drafting a quarterback in that range, too.

“Shedeur has told me, he’s talked to me intently about all the visits he’s had with all the teams, so I know where his heart is, I know where he wants to go,” Sanders told Bayless. “If it’s New York it’s New York, if it’s Tennessee, if it’s Cleveland, if it’s still the Raiders, if it’s New Orleans, if it’s any of those teams that are seeking a quarterback I’m happy with it, man. Because I know what he’s going to do to the organization.”

Cleveland picks second and their thirst for a new quarterback is well-documented. The Giants pick at No. 3, with the Raiders picking sixth, the Jets at No. 7 and New Orleans selects No. 9. All can stand to draft a first-round quarterback.
