Dennis Green looking forward to the new Arizona Cardinals. Wants everybody to jump aboard the Cardinal bandwagon.

It is over on DirecTV.

Nope, analogies are a very good way to get your point understood by everyone. I like analogies because they can put things into a different perspective.

So, according to this thread, Green said (in this order):

1. Offense is talented and talked about all positions except QB
2. Will bring in FAs
3. Will draft according to talent and not need

My conclusion: We'll get Garcia, Brunell, Warner or someone on the FA market and draft a WR.

Said Pete Kendall is captain material. And that our oline as too many high draft picks to not be producing.

I REALLY am liking this guy!!!

Michael Bidwill said:

*Green moved into his office yesterday.
*Green was hired to win games, not to make a PR splash
*Players will play to their potential and get our first-round picks to the Pro Bowl
*Our O-Line will be dominating
*Green has had over 50 calls from people inquiring about coaching and coordinator positions

Rod Graves was just on:

*Said that Green's teams have been disciplined, execute well, have an explosive offense, good defense and good special teams
*The team looked into Green's background and came to the conclusion that he is an excellent coach, good family man and a good person
*Basically that the past is in the past and the problems that he had in Minnesota are behind him
*The team is not concerned at all about Green's leadership
*Green doesn't just bring in accomplished coaches, but he develops coaches that become accomplished
*Green is an offensive coach who knows defense
*Emmitt and Coach Green will decide Emmitt's fate next year, but that if Emmitt wants to come back he most likely will

I have 15 pages of notes and will try to organize them and post on the BRS (Oy Vey!)

Most salient things -

1. Believes in building a team "up the middle" starting with the O-line.

2. He says that, rather that fining guys, you usually only have to cut one guy for the others on the squad to get the idea of where you're coming from.

3. After he mentioned Manning and Roethlisberger, he said some of his pre-draft prep will be comparing "how our guys compare with those guys."

4. He believes in running the scout teams during practice because, among other things, (a) he gets to know and develop younger players, (b) gets to "scout his starters" from that vantage point and (c) can make sure that players on the units facing the scout teams are executing properly

I know Urbane and Somers follow the cardinals day in and day out...but if they admit the cardinals have any talent whatsoever...it might mean their best buddy Mac maybe was not that great of a coach....

They and Jurecki always say the cardinals are basically talentless and have tons of holes....I think they have been too close to a few things over the past few years...mostly too close to all of the losing and ineptness and the old coaching staff.

I just figured he was being an ass.

This is huge. It shows a very hands-on head coach.

Nice

From the cheap seats, note the normal media room is smaller than the stage
