According to Yahoo! Sports, the Nuggets look ready to part ways with Carmelo Anthony who has made it clear he wants out of Denver.

Anthony's camp has advised the Nuggets to deal the superstar forward since he plans to leave as a free agent next summer.

The relationship has become contentious, with Anthony's representatives making heavy-handed demands and new owner Josh Kroenke responding in kind.

"It’s almost a given they’re going to move him," said a team executive who has talked with both the Nuggets and Anthony’s agents.

The Nets and Clippers have trade assets that most appeal to Denver's management, according to the report. No mention is made of whether Anthony has agreed to sign an extension with those clubs.

NJN:

Harris-Williams-Melo-Favors-Lopez

CHI:

Rose-Brewer-Melo-Boozer-Noah

LAC:

Davis-Foye-Melo-Griffin-Kaman

Either way, Melo ends up with a great team!

Yeah but some of those pieces you have in those starting 5's would probably have to go to DEN, there is no way DEN should get a bunch of scrubs for Melo.

I agree, that is why I think Chicago is out of it.

We also don't have our big trade exception anymore.

Which has nothing to do with Hedo. Given all the expirings Denver has they most likely won't be trading Melo for anything other than high level prospects, something the Suns don't have now and didn't have at any point this offseason.

I find it funny that you're complaining about a few things we don't have anymore that would really have no bearing on a Carmelo trade IF we still had them. Maybe Barbosa would be an interesting trade piece for them, but that's about it.

If the Nuggets can't make a deal by December 15 (is that the date?), the Suns could probably get their attention with Richardson/Warrick/Lopez/Dragic for Anthony/Smith. But Anthony would have to agree to an extension right away, and even then, I'm not sure I like it for Phoenix.

"Too bad we blew our load early to get the great Hedo. "

I like Hedo:

Most recent FIBA box score against France:
Name Min M/A % M/A % M/A % M/A % O D Tot As PF To St BS Pts
15 H. TÜRKOĞLU* 25 6/10 60 2/3 66.7 4/7 57.1 4/4 100 1 3 4 3 2 0 0 1 20

I don't like the trade:

"Richardson/Warrick/Lopez/Dragic for Anthony/Smith".

Our players over the egoist that is Anthony. What, honestly, could he bring to this team. Everyone keeps banging on about the need for a PF and with that trade we lose our only 'true' PF. No thanks. Depth and Nash will win us this thing in the absence of any other viable strategy.

The fact that you think Leandro Barbosa and Dwayne Jones would have been integral to acquiring Carmelo Anthony is laughable.

Well Dwayne Jones is back with the Suns so I guess they'll be able to entice Denver into trading Melo for him. JRich + Jones is clearly better than Barbosa + Jones so I fully expect this trade to be announced as soon as Jones is eligible to be traded.

Source: Bulls discuss Carmelo Anthony

More at link.

The Chicago Bulls are interested in trading for the Denver Nuggets' Carmelo Anthony and are discussing internally including Joakim Noah as part of the deal, according to a league source.

ESPNChicago.com Bulls blog

Bulls blog The latest news from Bulls reporter Nick Friedell. Blog

According to the source, the Nuggets are hesitant to take back Luol Deng as part of a deal with the Bulls because Denver is leery of taking on long-term contracts with the collective bargaining agreement set to expire on June 30, 2011. Deng is two years into a six-year, $71 million contract.

Noah will make $3.1 million this season in the fourth year of his rookie deal. He would become a restricted free agent next season unless the Bulls extend his contract.

Yahoo! Sports reported Wednesday that an NBA source with knowledge of Anthony's wishes told him Anthony still hopes to convince Nuggets general manager Masai Ujiri to trade him, and he prefers a move to the New York Knicks or Bulls.

Not sure what to think. Can Tim Thomas play 82 games? They would be real thin a center.

I like the idea that someone, I cant remember who, it might have been Melo actually... But someone threw out the idea that he would go to the Knicks along with Deron Williams to form another 'big three' with Amare to counter what the Heat have.

Kindof an intriguing thought, though it will prob never happen.

Chris Paul said during a toast at Melo's wedding they should join Amare in New York. The Nuggets owner who was in attendance was not pleased.

Paul, Melo , & Amare would be nice. I am more of a bulls guy when it comes to the East, but some ones gotta take it to Miami. Plus I still dig Amare. (orange band-aid here)

That's a ring IMO or at the very least an instant legit contender as long as they are together.

Add PHI to a likely destination, they can offer Iggy who just so happened to have a good summer with Team USA but looks like the odd man out in PHI with all their young talent, but some of that talent could be packaged with him for Melo. DEN has to be intrigued.

The Bulls could theoretically trump any New Jersey offer if they were willing to include center Joakim Noah as part of a deal for Anthony. Sources with knowledge of Chicago's thinking, however, have maintained for days that the Bulls are strongly against the inclusion of Noah, revealing instead that Chicago has offered a package featuring Luol Deng, Taj Gibson and one future first-rounder.

I will take the Deng, Gibson and 5 future first rounders as long as Noah stays.

PG Rose
SG Brewer
SF Anthony
PF Boozer
C Noah

Now that is a starting 5, two great defenders in Brewer and Noah, two play makers and a true PF.
