Is that stadium in Irving a dome? It's got turf. Jake has won a playoff game on turf.

I think it's a good idea to take the quarterback with THE MOST PLAYOFF WINS under his belt: Jake Plummer.

Denver.
Indy couldn't stop Denver's fourth string tailback two weeks ago, this weekend they get Clinton Portis after three weeks off.
Jake will eat them alive with the play action.

Donkeys go all the way.

Indy - Manning's got something to prove in this one.

Plummer has a terrible history in domed playoff games.
Actually, I like Denver's chances in this game. But, I'll pick Indy because I think they are due. Also, I didn't like Shanahan's decision to tank the game last week. That seems to bite teams in the butt more often than not.

It appears to me the coaching staff at Denver keeps Jake throwing those short passes and not expose him to the long ones where he is not so good. This has worked but once you get behind like Denver did those short 10 yd passes will not get it done. On the other hand Manning going backwards and passing off of one foot throws a 30 -40 yd pass and hits his man in stride. Jake had a few batted down at the line of scrimmage, a fumble and interception which is sort of his MO. He is a good QB in the Denver scheme but I am not sure he will ever get them much further than round 1 or 2. Denver will continue in the next few years to be in the hunt but they will have to do it with the run as I do not think Jake will ever be a standout on the long pass and is subject to fumbles and intercepts.

The interesting thing is most Broncos fans will tell you that teh 2 things Jake has done that Griese couldn't is plays downfield and plays when the initial play breaks down(because he can run). After his shoulder surgery Griese's arm is so weak he couldn't complete balls over 20 yards, so for Denver, Jake's actually given them a more vertical passing game. But based on the radio announcers yesterday that was sort of exposed yesterday, he wasn't able to get outside the pocket and throw the ball downfield on broken plays, he had to play in the pocket and it showed.
There was one play they were talking about where he completed a sidearm throw and they both said "you know I honestly didn't realize Jake had a strong enough arm to make that throw, he has problems throwing the deep balls they often seem to hang, but every now and then he makes a throw like that and really shows arm strength." That was a comment I made about Jake a lot as a Cardinal, seemed like in every 3 balls downfield one would be a bullet spiral, one would be a duck, and one would hang slightly, he was very inconsistent throw to throw. Shanahan got much better consistency out of him this year I think he got him to concentrate a lot more on mechanics.
