I seem to remember seeing a 2007 depth chart a few weeks ago....

maybe not, but look at some of the guys at the very end of the depth chart like Davis

a lot of it makes no sense

Apparently, the NFL mandates that the teams put out some kind of depth chart yesterday. That's the only reason the Cards released one.

To reiterate earlier posts, I suggest we don't get hung up with 4-3 vs. 3-4 and don't accept the CW that we've "switched" to a 3-4. (I like the way EVT's Tulumello hedged his bet - he's now referring to our hybrid 4-3/3-4 defense as a "hybrid 3-4". He does point out, however, that guys like Berry, Dockett and Okeafor will be expected to play 2 roles and that the team may often line up in a 3-4 but their assignments may be per a 4-3 - and vice versa).

Charlie Weis at Notre Dame calls the defense 3-4 personnel as opposed to a 3-4 or 4-3 defensive alignment. It is the new NFL craze

Note that the only rookie listed as a starter anywhere on the team is #18 Steve Breaston. He's listed as a punt returner on special teams but who knows how long this listing holds up.

And the comments about not updating the list properly (misspellings and listing players no longer on the team) should be an embarrassment to the team management. It's doing the little things right the first time that sends the right message. Our Card management doesn't have that message yet.

I cant believe they list Sean Morey anywhere on the WR depth chart. Especially ahead of Spurlock and McCoy. He was terrible while I was at camp. I know hes a special teams ace. But his WR play sucked he dropped ball after ball.

This morning on the radio Wolfley stated that Morey is the #4 WR. Also said he believes that there will be 6 WR's on the 53-man roster and only 1 FB, that of course being Smith.

Gentlemen, I wouldn't get too upset over this depth chart. I'd be willing to bet it will change on a week by week basis. I for one am happy that not much attention has been given to it by the coaching staff. Let the keep busy with training our players and trying to make them better rather than spend their time complying with league rules and making a nice pretty depth chart.
