O-line. No sacks. First time the Lions have gone without a sack all year.
As much as I can see Stanton being on the Goat list, he could easily be on the Hero side as well. He set the tone for that game with his 2 1st qtr Td's. Got us up early and let the D do what it does best- shut the other team down. Being ahead early clearly helped us win this game IMO.
That was the most impressive and most surprising aspect of the game!O-line. No sacks. First time the Lions have gone without a sack all year.
I think you have to reference the comment made that GOATS this week are going to be nitpicky. Stanton did not play a terrible game, but he also gave the Lions a couple extra possesions that they shouldn't have had. Also, one of his picks led to half of the Lions points in the game. Stanton just needs to clean it up a bit, and continue to improve. Same as all the other players on the team.

1. Patrick Peterson, CB. Marquee matchup of the game put Calvin Johnson on utter lockdown. Being able to contain the most dynamic offensive weapon in the game for 3+ quarters when the offense was toothless was the most important element for the Cards.
2. Michael Floyd, WR. In the face of a lot of doubters and haters, Floyd re-appeared when the Cards needed him most and generated all the points the Redbirds needed to get the victory.
3. Ted Larsen and Paul Fanaika, OGs. Ndamokung Who?

1. Drew Stanton, QB. Two absolutely terrible picks and three quarters of getting zero points is a problem. The weeks to come will tell whether the NFL has started to "figure out" Drew Stanton. Stanton has to get better if the Cards are going to meet their Super Bowl aspirations.
2. Jerroud Powers, CB. Goats are going to be nitpicky in a game that was more dramatic than it needed to be. Powers missed what would have been a great interception and blew coverage on a completion to Golden Tate that could've proved costly.
3. Carson Palmer, QB. Disappointing that Palmer decided to sit this one out. The rest of the Cardinals captains have managed to come to the game and cheer on their teammates.
Was it Minter who had a shot at making a huge tackle for a big loss only to let Bell slip out of his hands and then rumble for a nice gain and a first down? Got to make that tackle! If it was Minter then he belongs on the goat list for that one play.

I don't know, but I did see Cromartie do one of his infamous "Ole tackles" in a similar situation; and didn't even get a hand on Bell. Could that be the play you are thinking of?It was The Ghost.
Peterson has now shut down the best 2 WRs in the NFL. Dez and Megatron. Finally playing up to what we all expected.
That stuff works at home sometimes, but it's hard to take that show on the road and be successful.

Minter definitely sucks out loud right now, but I'm hoping he's another Rashad Johnson, who I thought sucked out loud his first couple years and has turned into a solid safety.
IMO drew was a hero AND a goat.
BA said Palmer would be on the sideline when "it was safe for him to be there". I think they said it would be a week or two before the swelling would allow surgery. Maybe he needs to be off of it until then?
Anyway, I wouldn't have put him on the "goat" list. Maybe Mr. Fair Catch would have been a better choice IMO.
He is living in a continuous passive movement (CPM) device right now. The first 2-3 weeks are critical to any ACL injury (post surgery/reconstructive process).
You bring much insight and intelligence to the board K9, but this wasn't one of your finer moments
It was interesting to note last week that while Palmer was waiting to have surgery, he not only was around the team facility every day, but during practice, he was in the weight room, still working out the body parts he could with strength and conditioning coach Buddy Morris.
Whole lotta people talking a bunch of guff about stuff they don't know any facts on:

Standing around for four hours on a torn ACL and sitting or laying on a bench lifting or being in meeting rooms are way different things.
You honestly think Palmer is intentionally pulling himself away from the team by not being at the game?
Is Arians lying? Is that what you are saying?
Palmer, that has been a leader for this team, voted as captain by his teammates, lauded as a leader since then, just decided screw those guys I have better things to do on a Sunday afternoon?
Is this what you are saying?
Maybe you are saying that am NFL sideline isn't dangerous? Tell that to Sean Peyton.
You can be up in the booth. You can be in the owner's suite. You can be sitting on the bench on the sideline with Tom Moore.
There's no medical reason that Carson Palmer wasn't at the game on Sunday. That's what I'm saying. He made the choice not to come.
