You're making an awful lot of assumptions without facts to fall back on.

All we know is that he wasn't at the game for one reason or another, but was around the team all week for conditioning and helping the team prepare for the game.

It's not like he flew back to So Cal to take advantage of being on IR. He's with the team.

To many of us, it's much ado about nothing. To you, it's a developing rift between Palmer and the organization, which will lead to Palmer requesting a trade or release from the team.

Those are your assumptions, which have nothing to do with the actual words that I wrote.

ME: Palmer should've been at the game. It's a shame that he decided not to.

HOI POLLOI: Palmer had legitimate medical reasons not to be at the game, for his recovery and his safety.

ME: Palmer was healthy enough to be at the facility all week and work out. No reason he should have missed the game.

YOU: You're saying there's a rift between the Cardinals and Palmer.

Gimme a break.

How do you know he wasn't at the game? Do you have a report on this?

We know he wasn't allowed on the sideline for medical reasons

The announcers said that he stayed home on Sunday.

Do you have a link to Arians' comments on Palmer not being at the game? I haven't seen them anywhere.

Again, it's a moot point, and once again, you continue to make mountains out of mole hills. A candid Arians would've said something publicly if he was discourage by a "choice" Palmer made.

You don't have enough information to determine whether Palmer was able to be at the game. It is common for players to not be on the sidelines after initially suffering a devastating injury, then rejoin the team later. Based on his position on the team, I don't see a situation in which he voluntarily kept himself away from the stadium.

Hope you got your daily workout in jumping to conclusions.

On longest run play allowed this season (Bell 33 yds), Kevin Minter had him in the backfield. Went for an ankle tackle for some reason.

And no one's able to produce evidence that Palmer was asked to stay away from the game. I don't know about "mountains out of molehills". It was a change to a weekly post saying that he should've been there, and then people falling all over themselves with nonsense saying that it was excused/medically necessary because Palmer was in a bariatric chamber or something.

I put Palmer on the "Goat" list because he wasn't there. Everything else you think that I wrote is entirely in your own mind and unrelated to anything I wrote or think.

The "for some reason" is my favorite part of the whole thing and generally describes Minter's entire career so far.

LOL.

No it's not. You called him out by calling him a "Goat" this week for uncorroborated reasons. I don't disagree with any of your other "Goats" and "Heros" because you produced facts to support your position; just produce more substance about Palmer to back up that he wasn't there voluntarily than supposition.

That is all.

MEh, the guy can pick whatever heros and goats he wants.
Agree. Does anyone really care whether or not Palmer was on the sidelines. Much less make an issue out of it.

I know Jay Cutler doesn't. :)

I'm probably in the minority but I'm glad Palmer wasn't on the sidelines. It's different with Dockett and his position. This is Stanton's team now, he needs to know that, he doesn't need big brother looking over his shoulder and whispering in the headset every game.

Just MO.

at practice all week, but didn't make the game....

You obviously understand the swelling in his knee must subside before the reconstruction can happen, right? Maybe he cares about this team so much the ORG didn't want him dancing around on the sideline (crutches or not).

Should he be at the game to make "Drew" feel better, or for you to feel better? Seems to me, being at "practice" the entire week gave ample opportunity for him to weigh in on the game plan; and obviously whatever happened this week worked.

Maybe Carson sitting on the bench continuing to weigh in is a bad idea. I played and coached the game; I can tell you multiple "coaches" giving direction is a bad idea.

Maybe the organization told him to go spend time with his family, prepare for rehab, and be ready to get back on the field in July... If my boss told me to take the day off (after seizing my car, pro-card, and locking my office up), I would say "OK. Got it. Take the Day off, and recover..."

You are stirring the S-pot K9.

1. Patrick Peterson, CB. Marquee matchup of the game put Calvin Johnson on utter lockdown. Being able to contain the most dynamic offensive weapon in the game for 3+ quarters when the offense was toothless was the most important element for the Cards.

2. Michael Floyd, WR. In the face of a lot of doubters and haters, Floyd re-appeared when the Cards needed him most and generated all the points the Redbirds needed to get the victory.

3. Ted Larsen and Paul Fanaika, OGs. Ndamokung Who?

1. Drew Stanton, QB. Two absolutely terrible picks and three quarters of getting zero points is a problem. The weeks to come will tell whether the NFL has started to "figure out" Drew Stanton. Stanton has to get better if the Cards are going to meet their Super Bowl aspirations.

2. Jerroud Powers, CB. Goats are going to be nitpicky in a game that was more dramatic than it needed to be. Powers missed what would have been a great interception and blew coverage on a completion to Golden Tate that could've proved costly.

3. Carson Palmer, QB. Disappointing that Palmer decided to sit this one out. The rest of the Cardinals captains have managed to come to the game and cheer on their teammates.

Palmer was there for the coin toss. He was there the whole game .....
