However, I would like to apologize to everyone in this thread, except 3rdside.

This is easily the stupidest debate I've ever gotten embroiled in on these forums.

Oh yeah let’s talk haircuts.

(And you still haven’t shown the flaw in my argument, nor admitted you’re wrong lol)

Here is an interview with Booker where he talks about his extension, this season, the plans for the offseason, and more. It's a good read on who he is as a person more than it provides any sort of insight on what the Suns may do this offseason. Booker mentions he plans to return to school and get his bachelors degree because he'd already taken some college courses in high school and and was a straight A student also. Like I said, it's a good read on who Booker is. He talks about Watson being his coach, being drafted by the Suns, and proving himself as a starter in the NBA. Worth checking out, the kid has a bright future and hopefully that future is with the Suns.

Rachel Nichols, Tracy McGrady and some other guy that I don’t know interpret Booker’s comments.

He is indefinitely banned for now. I may reduce it later

So strange, I don't remember 3rdside ever being this over the top. A shame.
This discussion about Booker’s shooting is the only one he went a little too far in. He’s one of the better posters on this board, I hope they don’t put some long ban on him.

Back to the Booker extension. If he doesn't accept our max contract offer this summer, he becomes a restricted FA, correct? So we'll still be able to match any offer to him?

That's correct. He'd be a restricted free agent in the 2019 offseason with the potential to be an unrestricted free agent in 2020 if he were to sign the 1 year qualifying offer. The chances of that happening are virtually non-existent according to all reports.

Gambo sent out this tweet in response to people overreacting to Rachel Nichols' tweet about Booker potentially looking to leave.

Yep, unless you have already had one or two very lucrative contracts it would be foolish to pass on the first one that is coming as early as possible. Players understand that anything can happen to lose that contract later and thus will almost always take it while it’s available.

Yeah... I would be STUNNED if he didn’t sign a Max extension when given the opportunity. Very few players will turn down the security of that first massive contract.

And he can always force his way off the team later if we continue to be a disaster.

I have decided to make it a week.

When people drop the "Go ahead and Ban Me" card, you get your wish.
Chris, many of us would prefer if you hadn't put it that way. He was banned for being obnoxious, wasn't he, not because he dared you to.

Correct. He was banned for attacking other posters.

The length is typically mitigated by several things. Personally when you blatantly decide to flaunt the site rules rather than heat of the moment stuff, I will hand out a harsher penalty.

I get getting mad and making a mistake. I get apologizing after

I don't get "I do what I want"

Three questions
Some ESPN talking heads recently speculated that Devin Booker might not sign an extension this summer. Is that true?

Absolutely not. First, no NBA player has ever turned down a rookie contract extension. Second, Booker, at the age of 21, is not about to say no to $156 million, the max contract Phoenix can offer. Yes, Booker is frustrated with losing but he knows the Suns are going to be aggressive in free agency and will have no worse than the fourth pick in the draft. He’ll sign on the dotted line.

Kobe Bryant a future mentor for Devin Booker?

Evan Sidery‏@esidery

Booker told me that he hasn't had much discussion with Kobe since his scoring 70 but, eventually, he would love for him to be a mentor.

I’d rather he find a better mentor than that psychopath. Yes, he won 5 titles, but that was always either playing with an all-time C at the peak of his prime or absolutely LOADED teams for his other run.

And in between and after those runs, his teams were for the majority bad or non-contenders, missing the playoffs or getting bounced in the first round.
