i haven't read through this thread but the only way to make the case for Booker being the "greatest Sun" is to heavily consider his accumulative stat totals in points over his decade here because the results of his tenure was mostly leading the Suns to the bottom of the NBA rankings, 2 horrific playoff endings, and the 3rd -- one good run with CP3 as our MVP.

Beal is the fall guy but statistically, Beal's shooting percentage from 2 and 3 is close to Durant's and Booker is significantly behind them both. Also, Beal's defensive score is better. Booker has more assists because he has the ball more, they both have the same turnover rate, and Beal is ahead in all the other departments like rebounds and steals.

Bud needs to call the shots. And give Beal more of a shot.

Durant is better than Book and Beal. However, Durant is at the end of his career and I think you will see him fall off the cliff similar to CP3. Then what? All you will have is Beal…Mr. Glass?!? No thank you.

Having said that if the Suns can’t get another tier 1 star next to Book it’s pointless keeping him. Trade him for a ton of assets and rebuild. I don’t want to see Book languishing through a last huge contract if Ishbia can’t give him a legit number one to play beside him after this Durant experiment is done.

but during the game they just showed a stat of Jones being the #1 clutch shooter of 3's and that's the opposite of Booker. So what do we really need Booker to do for 53 million per, if not clutch shooting? We don't need his defense either.

you could say we need him for general scoring. He will give us points. But the reality is that he's shooting no better than an average team's shooting percentage. So, by playing team ball, and getting better shots, we'd do just as well without him -- or better.

we could get 2 productive years out of Durant and saddle him with someone that gives us something we need. Then rebuild in 2 years. Booker's a dead end. His window closed when Chris Paul's did.

that's the old book on Book. He's not the young buck with a lot of upside potential any more. He's been tested, his flaws are known and exploited, he's no longer a franchise player, and he's saddled with a salary that's a load in any GM's pants.

Durant can still give a team 35 to 40 on any night he wants to because he can still get off a good shot on any defender. And anyone who thinks Durant doesn't now know the downside of playing alongside Booker rather than someone that's a better fit, is not reading those tea leaves either.

Booker + Durant is a failure. Beal only adds to the dysfunction. I guarantee if he wasn't afraid of being called a quitter again, Durant would relish another change -- in team or in a partner.

and any cold-calculating GM looking to win now would take Durant for 2 years over Booker for 4 in a heartbeat

i also believe Ishbia would concur, but based on his eagerness to please the community, i don't believe he'd pull the trigger on a Booker trade for fear of dashing fan's delusions. The evidence is clear. The homegrown fandom is hard to shake.

Yeah, he is the same passive aggressive, non leader, that he has been at every other stop in his career. He coasts through games, departs the offense for solo play and is probably the sloppiest ball handler of any star that I have ever seen.

Spot on with the Dallas game last year, I have never been more revolted by a regular season game.

i'm well aware of KD's immaturity off court in the past, especially online, and that's why i didn't like him -- but like Barkley, Kidd, Marbury, and Grayson Allen who's reputations preceded them, i've been impressed with KD's composure and maturity on the court with the Suns. And i can't take those complaints seriously from 2 fans who've been defending Booker despite his flaws in the same departments.

* Unlike Booker, Durant's not easily rattled, and when he does get mad he gets better, not worse.

* Durant makes better decisions, including shot selection, and when he's not turning the ball over, like Book, he actually can get off a good shot despite a double team

* Durant can make clutch shots for the Suns in the last 2 minutes of games!!!

* Durant has been ranked 10th all-time best. His career achievements include 2 championships, an MVP award, 2 Finals MVPs, and multiple scoring titles, and, despite his flaws, is still playing near the top of his game. Booker is more like top 20 this season.

These 2 "points" are so ridiculously biased I can't believe you attempted making them.

Yes, CP3 addressed the Sarver debacle, meaning the teams leader addressed it. Booker saying anything would be unnecessary. Book did say his piece, he didn't witness anything firsthand. He can't condemn a man for actions he didn't know to be true. CP3 didn't condemn Sarver either. Hmmmm, you give one a pass but not the other. Paul was brought in to teach Book to lead and rather than handing the reins to Booker, James Jones and Ishbia brought in KD to delay that sort of leadership position.

Book is a lone wolf? He was routinely joking around with Cam Payne, Mikal, Cam Johnson, Crowder, and CP3. He's even attended Mikal and Cam J games in Brooklyn since they've been traded. But sure, he's not tight with his teammates. We only saw 3 years where 90+% of post game press conferences had a united pair of Paul and Booker. Again, what sort of blinders are you wearing?

You can just admit you hate Booker and save your nonsense. I call it nonsense because almost everything you said is based on your opinion and not facts. You're free to hate who you like but don't pretend you aren't drinking haterade and have been for years now.

1. as usual, as a fanboy, you ignore my main critique of Booker (which has been spot on and validated for years), and distort something minor to make a bully point. I said, "CP3 stepped up. Booker said nothing" about Sarver, not CP3 "condemned." What CP3 said was, basically, "IF TRUE the accusations are serious and actionable." And that's all, Booker could have and should have said to represent his teammates and stand up for all the other employees of Sarver's dark reign.

2. yes, i was indeed thinking that Booker showed signs of bonding with teammates during Monty's era/error of love days. All the more reason why it's alarming now that he's regressed back to lone wolf.

speaking of coaches, your familiar "you're just a hater" post is exactly like the times you relentlessly attacked my criticisms of Igor and Monty. The first, as i said, would never be a head coach again, and the 2nd got the highest paycheck in history to coach another team, couldn't make it through one season, and is still cashing those checks while coaching high school ball.

like them, eventually Booker will be moved when fans like you can better cope -- because he's not going to get more hop in his step (which he has to have) and he's not going to change his routine unless a hard-ass coach sets him straight.

remember these: Booker's shooting 0% from 3 and 8% overall in the last 2 minutes of close games while making the 4th highest salary, higher than Curry, Lebron, Doncic, etc.. and 5 million more than the oft-criticized Bradley Beal who's stats are arguably better overall.

speaking of Beal, i said months ago that, like Booker, he's a bad decision maker and he proved that last night, taking a contested 2 in the final seconds when we needed 3. Booker's specialty is taking contested 3's when we need 2 or 1.

speaking of smart, you were better off staying clear of my posts. Now you can either complain that i didn't dot an i or just move along. Better yet, as usual, i'll just move along. I've said everything that needed to be said here and more (i'd rather not convince outsiders that Booker's overrated when we need all the value we can get)
