He was offered multi year deal with Baltimore and an offer by Cleveland. He thought is was worth more than he is. The Saints deal fell in his lap due to their injuries. This is what happens when you sit out all year and think you can come back and be a superstar without putting in the work everyone else did. It's one of my biggest pet peeves and injury seems to happen more often than not, for whatever reason you choose to believe in.

I don't blame these guys for sitting out. In his case and Bell's they were not signed, they had no obligation.

I don't enjoy defending Dez, because I think he's generally a lousy receiver and has been for a few years but if a player doesn't want to play for certain and isn't signed to a contract, then more power to them.

IMO the Saints screwed up by signing him in the first place and now his injury will spare them his childish antics and dropped passes in key situations.

I don't think he quit on them.

He was about to face the Cowboys and I am sure this was a huge deal for him after all that has happened. A few minutes before kickoff, you get tested and find out you have COVID.

I am sure this was very emotional for him. I doubt he quits.

Lol. I forgot to put the sarcasm emoji. It seems to be a trend lately for people to just bump year's old threads just because a players name is in the title. If it's new info, start a new topic.

Youre welcome to do so. I was not in a position to type up a new thread about a non cardinals player and felt it more appropriate to bump a dez thread with dez news, especially because people talked about looking at him as a WR for our team at one point this year.
