Agree except you have to keep Zeigler in the role he's in now...the groundball guy when you gotta have a groundball.
The closer isn't on the roster.
This... Particularly the last sentence!

I would add only that they are not equal voids.Because Collmenter is so dominant at his current role of long reliever and spot starter that by attempting to convert him to closer, you're undoubtedly creating a void in order to potentially fill another.
I would add only that they are not equal voids.
A long reliever could pitch one out of every 4-5 days. A good Minor League starter could fill that role.
A closer pitches 3 out of every 4 saves with the game on the line. That makes it a much more important void to fill. Even more crucial on the road.

Kubel started the game hitting.275 and Miggy at .218.I think Kubel is starting to come around to why i loved this guy so much last year!
Goldy: no RBi = loss...
Not trying to second guess Gibby, butt, I'm wondering why he didn't pinch hit for Kubel when the Reds brought in Parra. He had Prado on the bench and while he certainly hasn't been lighting it up, he would've been a better choice than the lefty lefty matchup Kubel presented... Runners on first and third too...
No one complained last night when Kubel got the game-winning hit off Chapman. They loss but won the series, that's what counts.
