Goldy with an opposite field homer and a walk so far. Kick that slump to the curb, Goldy!

Another bad night for the D'backs with runners in scoring position. 1-for-11 though the first 8.

Whenever I see Prado or Ross up with runners on base, I just don't expect them to drive in a run. They both seem so . . . mediocre. The rest of the order has, at least, the potential to hit some balls hard.

Ross didn't even know the count in his last at bat. Prado looks weak at the plate. I've had enough of Willy Mo Hinske as well. Wasted solid outing by Corbin.

This team is simply abysmal. 1 for 12 with RISP, a closer who can't pitch without giving up runs, hitters who look like they'd rather be somewhere else, a third basement who doesn't seem to be able to field or throw, a team that doesn't support its ace, etc etc etc.

I can hardly watch these guys right now. They are playing miserably. Perhaps it's time for Gibson to utilize the bats in the shower with the "lollygag speech." Find a way to motivate these guys.

Thank the stars we are in a division where incredibly, everyone is slightly worse than we are (right now, anyway).

That didn't even look like a good swing and it still cleared the yellow line by 10 feet. Incredible.

The pitch was a bit inside which caused Goldy to pull his hands in just a bit... And yet, he's still strong enough to drill it out of the deepest part of the park! Goldy is a Grown-Ass Man!!!

So Prado and Montero didn't score earlier?

Sure they did... However, Goldy IS the offense for this team, period... Yes yes... Prado finally hit a home run - his first since April. And Montero is showing some signs of moving in the right direction... But they are both significantly below their career averages and have simply sucked for most of the year.
Goldy's avg with RISP is by far the best on the team and this was his second walk-off dinger this year. He is our offense night in and night out. Only Parra comes close to matching Goldy's consistency at the plate...

Goldy is the most consistent, yes. Miggy is finally coming around - 13-36 last ten games

Montero is currently sporting a 619 OPS. His bat has costs us wins this year. It's fine to root for him, but lets stop trying to polish that turd. Ok?
