I think it's funny that Tracy is DH'ing and Reynolds is supposed to have the inferior glove. Trade Tracy now!

Tracy just got off the DL, so they decided to take advantage of the DH to limit his workload.

Oh, sure, now you do something at the plate, Tracy! You'll probably ride that into a starting job.

nice play by hudson there should have been a triple play.

I don't like the announcers ragging on Drew for that. First off, it looks like it would have taken a hell of a play to get Matsui at the plate anyway. Second, why no faulting Tony Clark for making the throw to 2nd in the first place? Where was Matsui when he threw the ball there, and why didn't he just look him back and eat the ball?

The announcers said Matsui was holding. Clark threw to second to bait him to run and it worked. You see this play happen once in a while. Grace and Sutton had a clear view of Matsui and I will take their word. It was a dumb play by Drew. You can see he thought that was the third out.

i guess the blame could have been on both drew for not throwing home, and clark for not holding the runner. anyway you look at it hell of a play by hudson. i am not sure the run will come back to haunt them anyway.

Clark looks at third. He would not of thrown it if the runner was heading home. Like Grace said, Tony did the correct thing in throwing it to second. Drew never even looked at third once he caught it. His sole intension was getting the guy out at second.

Does this really matter? The game was over before that play. Luckily the Padres lost but I thought with Webb pitching, they would win.

Fair enough, I didn't catch what they said about Matsui and yeah, it did look like Drew thought it was the final out.

Webb made about 3 bad pitches all night and loses 4-1.

Really sloppily played game by the Dbacks both on the field and at the plate.

Quentin and Snyder are killing us. Quentin may come around but Snyder is useless. This guy has never been able to hit major league pitching.

Why doesn't BoMel put Montero in on a daily basis and give him a chance?

A better question may be why is Byrnes hitting 4th? He was doing so well leading off, it seems weird to move him to the 4 hole. Not that CY didn't do a good job, but its more of Melvins shuffling which I don't like.

Go into Yankee Stadium and start experimenting.

Bob Melvin is a ********, blooming idiot. A career Bench Coach who is allowed to continue managing to cover management's ineptitude when they hired Wally Backman.

Enough already. We have two good candidates in Chip Hale and Kirk Gibson. (My preference is Hale.)

But no, stick with the bumbler.

The sad thing is if the Diamondbacks continue to stay in the playoff race, Melvin will be back and who knows, he could get an extension.

Ug, Dbacks down 7-1 in the 4th. I guess its to be expected with a young team like this, they are going to be streaky. But Livan has looked pretty terrible tonight, ah well.

And...it got worse. Good thing we're in the NL West and not the AL East.
