Yup, he gets a lot of the big games -- senior head official and all that. He's seen it all, and I don't necessarily think that's a bad sign for tonight except I've always had the feeling Bavetta tends to be a little, uh, kind to the "star" players. Let's hope his two MVPs put Stevie in the star category so he won't have to take such a beating.

Bavetta is a terrible ref. I honestly don't think he can keep up w/ the action anymore. Like was said here, he has a huge bias towards star players, he also admits to giving 'make up' calls, which is ridiculous. Maybe he'll help the Suns and call a make up game, but still, I'd rather see it called fair and square.

I think this favors Duncan more than Nash. It is in S.A. and Bavetta will take care of the home crowd. That does not mean he will not call any fouls on them, but I think experience shows there will be less on Duncan than if it was in PHX.
