I think Dilfer should prepare to take the foot out of Ratto's mouth and insert it in his own.
There is no doubt that SF will be better next season. But if they want to overtake the Cardinals, they need to get something that resembles an offense, learn how to win on the road and their coach needs to learn to be more of a tactician rather than a drill sergeant. Don't forget that history has proven that the cards and 9ers have alternated season sweeps every year since 2006, so I guess they are guaranteed two division losses next season
Perhaps they sneak in next season as a Wild Card, but a first round bye requires overthrowing the Cards, holding off the Seahawks who may or may not be improved next season, and winning probably 12 games.
In summary, I have a better chance of winning the lottery
