Well I'm glad that's been decided.
Now I have to figure out what to do on Sunday's next year since he just spoiled the whole season.

I didn't realize the only road game the 9ers won this year was against us. I hope the Rams whip their butts also.

Let's see, Dilfer was born in Santa Cruz, CA(surf city) went to college at Fresno State, and his last NFL employer was... 49ers.

I think Dilfer should prepare to take the foot out of Ratto's mouth and insert it in his own.
There is no doubt that SF will be better next season. But if they want to overtake the Cardinals, they need to get something that resembles an offense, learn how to win on the road and their coach needs to learn to be more of a tactician rather than a drill sergeant. Don't forget that history has proven that the cards and 9ers have alternated season sweeps every year since 2006, so I guess they are guaranteed two division losses next season
Perhaps they sneak in next season as a Wild Card, but a first round bye requires overthrowing the Cards, holding off the Seahawks who may or may not be improved next season, and winning probably 12 games.
In summary, I have a better chance of winning the lottery

When you get eliminated from playoff contention with two weeks left in the season and at best can acheive an 8-8 record, you start talking about next year. Thats what losers do. You don't want to talk or think about the complete mission failure that was this season, which, by the way, was supposed to be your breakthrough year.

Trent Dilfer won a SB, enough said. Alex Smith is efficient enough to make plays. He did beat your team several times.

Seems this is just another sign of HOW the 49'ers are going to over-take us and leave us in the dust. Oooooooo-K! I'd like to point out that next year WE should have Cody Brown so it seems to me that's like US having (2) 1st RD. picks! I DO expect the 49'ers to be BETTER. I also think the Rams will be BETTER IF they solve their QB problem. BUT what about the Cards?? WE are moving forward. The EVIDENCE of that is pretty obvious. So, let the media, etc. make their predictions... They get paid to entertain. ...And what's MORE satisfying than to listen to them TRY to explain HOW they were WRONG?? GO CARDS!

I feel like I have followed Dilfer around: I grew up in Santa Cruz, CA went to Fresno City College before transfering to CSUN... He is 3 years older than me though...
There are a few things I remember from HS about Trent ( he attended Aptos High) When I was a freshman at Soquel High ( I transfered to SCHS after Soph year) we had a mystery second put back on the clock and our Kicker, Greg Braunton nailed a near 40 yarder to win the game. And in basketball a huge brawl broke out between the Aptos/Soquel right after the game and Dilf got whacked.
Oh yeah and he was accused of rape by some girl too, nothing ever resulted from it and was pretty good at golf...
So he probably a huge niner homer...
I always hated the Niners and I grew up in Niner country...
