Check out this article on S Calvin Pryor (another option with Dennard and Gilbert):

http://bleacherreport.com/articles/1957539-why-calvin-pryor-is-a-first-round-safety-in-todays-nfl

Sounds like an Adrian Wilson type hitter who can also play deep coverage. Definitely should get some consideration at #20 with the cornerbacks and a defensive lineman or two.

http://www.nfl.com/draft/2014/profiles/calvin-pryor?id=2543469

OVERVIEW

Pryor might be the most physical football player in the entire draft. Against the run, he is very quick to diagnose and he explodes to the alley. He takes correct angles and he doesn't need to gear down before securing the tackle. He uncoils his hips on contact and he's produced several impressive hits this season. Against the pass, he has the instincts and ball skills to play over the top, and he has enough speed/agility to match up in man coverage. He's a complete safety.

BW52---what other Louisville prospects do you like in this year's draft?

Marcus Smith OLB-was a DE at UofL.Will be a pass rushing OLB type in the NFL.Decent speed but not super quick. Will have to be a hustle never quit type guy.Rd 4-6 type IMHO.

Hakeem Smith Safety.Played other safety next to Calvin Pryor-late round backup type.can hit.so-so in coverage.

Preston Brown ILB-solid mid to late round ILB.Nothing special just a solid player who will be a backup in the league for years at worst.Tough guy.

Teddy Bridgewater QB-this kid will be good.Solid smart steady tough kid.Graduated in 3 years.

thank u rugby to understand me)what i want say
i dont judge people for tattoo.i judge people for what they do in life.
i see many people wants be moralizer in these days even if they dont have the right qualities .
we are good in judging others instead of us..
cause we feel better identifing the faults of others, this make us feel better as a perfect citizen of this world
in these days many discussions about michael sam..a lot of good words has been spent for this kid and his bravery to claim his homosexuality,
dont u feel a lot of hipocrisy in many statements. people say what is allowed them to say but not what they really feel
they want to appear good but they hide what they really are..the soul define us a a person.no tattoo.no sexual taste no religion nothing else.
sorry if is difficult to understand..english is not my mother language

Thanks for the post.

Anything that resembles Levi Brown is going to scare Cardinals fans, and I am one of them.

Cyrus Kouandjio is like the next girlfriend having to deal with the crap the last one pulled. And I am guilty of it myself. Anything that resembles a Levi Brown type, I don't even consider him in my fantasy world of who gives a crap about my analysis of draftees. LOL :D

If, Cyrus Kouandjio, comes in and is a lights out LT, I think that will get me off the "scared to draft the next Levi Brown" train.

I dont think Lewan Or Koundjio is going to be on the board at 20. The Giants

or Ravens will grab one and the Dolphins grab the next one. Unless the Dolphins get Albert

then they may grab Martin and leave us Cyrus.

Thanks again Cbus-----I love that you share these conversations that you have with your scout friend with us. I had never considered a tatto specialist-----good to know they are watching for gang affiliates.

Who said anything about black kids? I said when PLAYERS take their shirts off.

Hmmm, I guess you just assumed it was black kids.

Were really going to pretend this doesn't go on. Just stop. I'm actually more offended from people who act like everything is just perfect.

You're right. I guess nobody would say a word if Taylor Lewan took his shirt off and had a large swastika tattooed across his chest.

What they're looking for are clues to to get a more complete picture of the individual. That's why they asked Dez Bryant about his mom. It's also why they asked the TE from Colorado last year if he liked girls, or had a girlfriend. It's why they'll ask Jack Mewhort about getting caught for public urination during the Memorial golf tournament.

A person who has gang related tattoos, swastikas, or whatever gives teams more clues to their background and helps them make a better decision. Nowhere did I say a player was taken off a team's board because of body ink.

However, I think if a player was involved with a gang growing up, it's not a stretch to assume they were involved in illegal activities. It's something to ask the player about during the interview process.

A whole lotta this.

If some guy takes of his shirt and has tattoos that show gang affiliation I expect the Cards to do diligence to make sure that he is no longer involved. They would be idiots not to. If it's in the players past, then let it go but if not why would you spend a draft pick and give a lot of money to someone that still hangs out with other criminals? Again, people change and if the player has then I have no problem drafting them.

If the Patriots had evaluated Aaron Hernandez fully, ...........

IMO, if the information is unclear and the player is evasive, don't draft him.

Was listening to them discuss this on Sirius. Not specifically the gang tattoos but the interview process, and they said these GM's already know the answers to everything they're going to ask, they just want to see how honest each kid is and how they handle the question. I think the question about Dez's mom was kind of harsh--however, his drama-filled reaction to it has been a good indicator of his character ever since.
