I heard something on the radio today, Washington has more scoring drives than incomplete passes for the season. They didn’t punt at all in week 2 or 3. This is with a rookie QB. Kliff is coaching his butt off as OC.

They are looking like the Texans did last year, terrible to playoffs in one offseason. The Cardinals can’t even manage terrible to competent in 2 seasons, it’s maddening.

Been watching a bunch of stuff on Daniels today, everyone is saying he's an absolute star. I think he was amazing yesterday and the week before but I also think he's played against 2 really bad defenses back to back and he's probably NOT as good as he looked.

But yeah if I was a Commanders fan I'd be feeling pretty good about the future right now. I mean it was not even a year ago people were saying they should trade McLovin to do him a favor, and here they are 3-1 with a budding superstar QB.

4 games people need to slow down everyone has seen this before… Hope he does well but people jumping way to quick pronouncing superstar etc… Let’s se him face some adversity not camping back there with 15 minutes to scan the field against poo teams lol

Oh I agree but his first 4 games are pretty epic.

He has a weird throwing motion but the ball gets there.

The good thing is the last 2 games he's been throwing the ball downfield a bit more and he's still been outstanding.

Certainly not saying he's going to be better than Mahomes etc but he's off to a fantastic start

As bad as we played yesterday we had 2 legit scoring drives and a 100 yard rusher. So, yeah, we have had a lot worse performances overall.

But, the context of the game and complete ineptitude of the defense made it one of the most humiliating defeats I have ever personally witnessed. And I have a LOT of defeats in person since 1987.

He’s also 6’4”. It’s not easy calling plays for a 5’10” QB.

By that logic, 1 great game and 3 not so great games aren't good for a QB, right?

Also please get Sterling Thomas V off the field. Seriously.

I know he has alot of "moxie" but Max Melton needs to be getting snaps so that he can learn and grow.
I've just about had it with SMB. Invisible, and not in a good way.

The frustration for me is yeah Kyler didn't play well but if you think the answer is to draft a QB next year the question is who? People said Shedeur Sanders, he would have been the 5th or 6th qb taken in this draft behind Caleb, Daniels, Maye and Penix for sure(IMO) and probably behind McCarthy(many had McCarthy ahead of Penix because of Penix's knees.). I think he probably goes ahead of Bo Nix this year who was the 6th QB but even that's not for sure.

Right now most sites have Quinn Ewers as the top QB, I saw one today that had the Alabama QB but I don't buy that. The Georgia QB has a 1st round grade.

Kyler has to play better but I don't think there's a single guy in the next draft I'd clearly prefer over Kyler, which is sad.

We need tons of help on defense, our secondary is bad our Dl is bad. I spent all week telling my email friends how slow our WR's were, they thought I was anti woofing but now they see what I mean. We don't have a decent RT on the roster, we need LB's. just nothing impressive

Just pathetic today

Sam Darnold, Derek Carr, Baker Mayfield, and Geno Smith should give everyone a lot of pause about only considering a rookie QB.

So running the ball and controlling the clock aren’t enough?

Right I mentioned that elsewhere the goal if you replace Kyler would probably be find a Sam Darnold, maybe even find Sam Darnold since the Vikings could well go with JJ McCarthy.

Just seems unlikely to me there's a guy in the next draft who's going to be good enough to take Kyler's job.

I was watching some QB analyst again yesterday he did call out Kyler not throwing to Wilson on 4th down and taking the sack but his comment was you could see how weak our WR room is

Sam Darnold is playing lights out. He's been truly impressive. Vikings won't move on if he continues like this. They will just sit JJ and let him learn. Possibly even trade him.

You don't move on from a QB playing like Darnold is.

If he does it the full season I agree but if he does, he's going to ask for a ton of money. I have friends who are Vikings fans apparently at the time McCarthy got hurt, the first preseason game, they didn't know it was serious and there was real talk he might beat out Darnold for the starting job. His injury is a torn meniscus, not trivial but not one that's going to make it impossible for him to come back they didn't even know he'd done it he complained of a sore knee, they did an MRI and found it.

So if Darnold comes back to earth a bit it wouldn't be a stunner if they move on to McCarthy next year to avoid having to pay Darnold. But i agree if he plays THIS well all year, they're not going to move on, he's only 27.

I don't know if he gets top money based on one season but if he's played that well to earn it you'd think the Vikings would be happy to pay it.

As we know, good QBs are rare and you keep them when you find one.

I feel bad for this dude. He got dog water for talent to work with and people are wondering why he can't do better. No one on this board who argues that Kyler needs more talent around him should be critical of Rallis.
Im way less critical of Ralis than I am Petzing. Rallis is making chicken salad out of chicken poo some of the time. Petzing can't seem to game plan outside the 1st quarter unless K1 is throwing perfect games.

Both sides of the ball lack talent and MO should be taking lots of heat right now. More so than any coach or player.

The offense has plenty enough talent to succeed. The defense? Not even with DR and BJ.

Petzing could call the perfect play(not saying he does or has) but if it’s not executed it just doesn’t matter.
I’ve see too many times where the open receiver is missed and the throw is forced to the wrong receiver.
I keep seeing the interception in the end zone with MHJ double cover and the easy pick.
