From what I understand, FoxsportsAZ comes with the package without the sports addon. Just none of the other ones.

However, you can only get NBAtv HD with the sports addon. That's complete BS. I hate that greatly. I'll probably call to complain about that. I get NHL HD, but not NBA? Screw that. ANd I didn't see nbatv on the standard channels either. Double screw that.

I do love getting XM stations instead of the crap cox music stuff (we use that instead of stereo at parties).

I also love the DVR being accessible from the web.

My guy lied though and said the DVR will record 80 hours of HD, from what I see, it is just 50, which is just like Cox. I'll call and complain about that too, maybe get a tiny discount or something. I will call about this stuff, but hardly anything else. I hate not getting what I was promised.

Let me know how the complaining goes. I'll probably do the same. I tried to watch NBATV last night too and it wasn't available. I like the Sports mix channels where they preview 8 of the sports channels so you can see whats on. I wish that they would default you to the HD channel instead of the SD one.

50 hours of HD isn't very much. I thought it was 100 from what I was reading online. That sucks. I'll probably use the XM channels, although I have been streaming music to my PS3 instead.

installation guy said it was 360gb, if that helps you figure out how much recording time you have. He did tell me how much SD & HD recording time we'd have, but I don't remember*

I LOVE the on-screen caller ID. I made the tech guy make sure it was enabled before he left, because I didn't want to have to try to figure it out. DCR is "eh" about it.

There is nothing like looking at the screen and knowing you don't have to get up to see that you don't have to answer the phone.

I called and had a note added to my account to make sure they installed the HR22 model since the guy promised me that hight of # of hours of HD.

Just cancelled Cox cable effective December 1, just in case anything goes wrong with the DTV install.

Downgraded to the 1.5 MBps service for $24.95, down from my $44.95 now. She kind of rushed through that part, so we will see if it went through when I check my bill on December 1.

I have been in AZ just over two years and have had at least 7 different boxes switched out. Plus, I often cannot access my HD channels and PPV without calling them and having a lengthy phone call and reset. Last weekend, I had to reset the thing yet again during college football. That was the last straw.

I am hoping to get in on this deal, though I had Directv when I lived in Jersey. Plus, I am unsure if my apartment offers a clear sightline.

The feature that I love on the HD TIVO units, is when they come back to Direct TV they are suppose to include the feature that allows you to view a recorded program from any other TIVO in the house.

I had to mess with the HD settings on the DTV remote, but it is now just as good as Comcast HD.

The football games yesterday had much clearer HD than on Comcast. The non HD might be less clear however.
