Willis doesn't have to be everywhere....According Ross Tucker the 49ers have the best defensive front in the entire league. yeah he said it.

I can think of a few fronts that are better...

Vikings
Colts
Steelers
Broncos
Cowboys (maybe)

Hell, I might even take the Cards front they way they've played lately.

That being said, the Niners front is very good. That is one of the reasons why I think they will win. But I still think this game is a shootout. Too many holes in both D's secondaries.

^Shootout? Really SF is gonna score...on offense? Their offense is terrible I could see the Bears and Cutler putting up points that SF's pathetic offense just can't match! Bears 31 Niners 17!

Then your offense must really suck as you have lost four games in a row.

And 5 of the last 6. That's Rams and Browns territory. At some point you have to beat someone besides the Rams or Seahawks. The Niners have just one quality win against a Cardinal team with a shattered receiver corps.

My comment was more about the Bears D being depleted than anything. Davis is having a monster year and Gore should be able to tear it up, so I wouldn't be surprised if the Bears' D failed them again.

The offense scored 27 points with Alex Smith playing "awful."
Imagine what would've happened if he played decent.
27 points should be enough points to win the game.
Can't pin that losses just on the offense.

The bears made two average running backs look good last week.
Frank Gore is going to look great tonight.

Do you really believe Beanie Wells to be average? I'd think that even through hater-glasses you'd have to tip your cap to the way he's run the ball when given the chance.

if there is one single truth I can hang my hat on in the NFL, it is this:

Last week doesn't equal this week.

The Bears are in many respects like the Cardinals -- up and down. As bad as they looked last Sunday, they were also good enough to beat the Steelers.

Yes.
One game or 5 good runs hasn't changed my mind.

Wow some SF fans I guess are still delusional to assume a team thats won 1 time in the last 7 weeks is going to all of a sudden be able to score and beat teams that are BETTER than you. Like it or not the Bears are BETTER than the Niners, they have a QB which is key to success in the NFL, you guys can live in the past when you USED TO have a QB now that you don't your not really relivent to talk of winning divisions sorry!

Most every time he's touched the ball he's looked better than average.
I don't hate him, I just think that players that come out of the Ohio State University aren't as good as proclaimed (Tedd Ginn,Troy Smith, Pryor, etc

I'll stop calling him average if he passes Gore's rookie total output.

I agree. Not just the offense. The D sucked too.

Do you like Gore or not? Are you saying he's your yardstick for "average?" I'd say he's way better than average, but that's just me. Maybe you you don't think as much of him as me.

Anyway, he is on pace to surpass it, and he's getting more work as the season goes on:

B. Wells:
Att - 70
Yards - 310

F. Gore:
Att - 127
Yards - 608

Yes Frank Gore is the measuring stick.
Gore is easily a top 5-10 running back.
Gore gained those yards as a a rookie in spare playing time.
Oh, I love Frank Gore.
