It was just amazing today how hard the players struggled to the ball into the damn hole. Even more amazing, tie game with under 10 secs left and 2 shots we attempted was 2 crappy fadeway jumpers over multiple defenders.

So, I am just wondering if this team has a go-to guy who is capable of creating his shots and score in the crunch time

Shaq. Other than him, Barbosa and Hill are our best bets.

Funny that DA thought you should go to the hot hand. And the shooters got enough touches back then to determine who that was. Tonight that guy looked like LB, at least late in the game. Amare was out of sinc, he just seemed to have a series of lopez moments in the second half. IMO Jrich is not being integrated into the offense properly. He needs to get more touches that are not bailouts where he ends up forcing a shot.

Amazingly, I agree. I have to check the weather channel to see if Hell has indeed frozen over, but I agree. Barbosa should have taken the last shot.

I think that could be the problem, we don't have a glowing go-to-guy when win or loss regardless you know that this player is the guy you go to. The team should make one up and stick with it (amare), if you do it enough times, maybe it'll work great or it may not work but they should give something like that a shot while the season's still early.

You see a go-to-guy on a lot of other teams, and clearly the Suns haven't had one since forever unless you see Nash as one years back. But then again, not so much, it's always been a share the basketball team.

richardson's shot at the end wasn't bad except for there was .9 left afterward. he made a nice up and under move and had a clear look, though he was a little off balance. I think barbosa should have driven to the hole for the last shot, with amare trailing for a tip (assuming he has an offensive rebounding bone in his body).

I agree. Richardson got a pretty good look under the circumstances. Leaving time on the clock was a mental error, but the shot itself wasn't bad.

Is it just me or would this team LAST YEAR have had a nice set up play coming out of the TO. Porter just is so Blah with everything, I mean a J.Rich fade away was the best shot we could get drawn up or did he not draw up a play at all? I think this team under Mike D would have won that game with a nice play on offense, not to mention a little more pressure on the other team when the game is not tied!

one go to guy is not enough, you cant be that predictable against the better teams, and apparently against the stinkin pacers. IMO the suns need to develop JRichs role more, many of the shots he is forced to take stink, requiring a forced shot. He looks uncomfortable in the offense and using him like he is Raja Bell is retarding his integration. If I had to get one bucket late in the game I like the lineup of:

nash
barbs
JRich
amare
shaq

Hill, while a great soldier, seems tired, loses his shooters legs late. barnes is not nearly the player Jrich is and Barbosa is a serious threat in single coverage.

I never understood why offensive teams don't call a time out in this situation to design a play. There was 5 seconds left. That is plenty of time. They could have run that Grant Hill backdoor screen that has worked for them 2 times already this year.

IMO the guys we should be going to depend on the scenario. If we are trying to put a team away with easy buckets....it should be Shaq, Shaq and Shaq.

If we are trying to get off a shot at the end and the low post is not the best bet...then I would rather of either Nash or JRich shoot. These two guys are lights out with an open shot.

Amare is iffy because I don't want to post him up and the end of games. If has that open midrange shot he can make that. Barbs is hot and cold. Sometimes he is on and sometimes he can't make a layup.
