Please don't mention this. You will ruin the 0.00000000000000000000000000000001% chance we have of it actually happening.

The NFL network was reporting that the Texans were in the lead with 12-13 million a year on the table but the Jets and wait for it Arizona was actually in the mix but Houston was in the lead... and yes they do have the money

I missed that. When they said we were in the mix, was it speculative (I.E. we would make sense and could go after him) or was it based on us having actually contacted him? If we've even met with him and negotiated then I'd be happy. That Graves is actually being proactive and the Bidwill's are allowing him to even pursue high priced FAs, with trying to work out a huge contract with Kolb is a good sign for this franchise.

They said they were in contact with his agent talking numbers but who knows how far that got but they were one of the teams, more than likely he will be signing with Houston they made a big case about Texas not having a state tax on top of what they were offering him...

Actually getting Kolb and signing Nnamdi Asomugha as a replacement for DRC would change my whole perspective about the Cardinals in a positive way.

I don't expect to get him, but even the fact that we are trying is major progress. Years past we wouldn't even have him on our radar because he cost too much, or he wouldn't speak to us because we were the Cardinals.

As Mitch stated elsewhere, under the defensive scheme horton should be running, we don't NEED a second shutdown corner. the money is better spent on OL/DL/LB and perhaps a WR. Those are our key needs.

But to those who keep saying we won't spend... don't forget the salary floor, and the fact that prior to last year the cards had been spending with the best of them.

That would change the entire purpose of the cards, which is to get rid of every good player, not sign any good replacements, and to basically piss off the entire fan base year after year. They are pro's at that :)
