flat out tanking a season?? no.

being mathematically eliminated by week 8,...pulling every player over 30 and letting the 22 year olds show what they got?? absolutely.

Yes, within reason.

If it's game 10 and you're 3-7 the only business incentive remaining is draft position.

There are other less tangible factors to consider though. If you have a young QB what does all that losing do to their confidence? Same if you have a new HC you think shows promise.

But if I was the Colts with a QB that looks cooked and a HC that's won 1 playoff game in 4 years then yes, I'd be focusing on the draft and I'd be sitting all vets that are out of contract and blooding the youngsters.

Not quite yet though, they are still 3-3-1.
