He serves up a mean turducken though! Who wouldn't want to be his friend... except for the fact that I imagine he smells funny. Anybody remember that clip of John Madden farting on MNF?

I just started a new Franchise, simulated season one and am now in season 2. I couldn't find Green on the unemployed coach list.

My team looks like this

QB-McCown/Parsons, I think I'll put Jeff George on as a vet

RB-Shipp/Anderson

FB-Hodgins

WR's-Boldin/B Johnson/K Dyson

C-Rookie 3rd rounder

G- Kendall/Davis

T-Shelton/Clement

DE's McGinest/Pace

DT's Bryant/2nd round rookie DT

LB's Fisher/McKinnon/Thompson

CB's A Wilson/ D Starks/T Fair

FS D Jackson

SS SHAUN TAYLOR as this years pick

Wilson does real good at CB, and I use the Bucs offensive and defensive schemes, so I use there play book with alot of singleback 3 WR sets. Also use Boldin as the End WR.
I play Madden all the time/Non stop

I think my team is not that far off as to how the Cards will change next season.

The best thing about Madden is the playbook.

Since the computer is controlling the recievers you can make some wicked passing plays.

But the ability to create running plays STINKS.

Yeah, I usually play the franchise mode and simulate games rather than play them.

But playing online is a lot of fun.

My Cards team is basically morphed into a total fantasy land team since I am in my 17th season. 10 SuperBowl wins BTW.

The secret was to trade what ever it took to get Jamal Lewis and run him into the ground. 3,126 yards in one season with 32 TD!
All done with our OL except Clement is replaced with Jason Gross!

Peace

Tips and Thoughts on Madden

1. There is a way to create a coach. You pick body type and name. This is what I did to create DG. I also pick a guy who looks like him when I play say Ed West. Hopefully, he will be there in Madden 2005 if you guys notice Parcells did not let his name or likeness to be used in the game so it just says Dallas Coach - there are a few players like this too - like Arrington and Hayes. There is a way to use create a player to get them in their with their name just like with a coach.

2. I am not really into video games - essentially I was only interested in playing Madden - so I bought the cheapest system out there: GameCube. The thing with Madden is if you want to save a lot of stuff Xbox has a lot of memory for that it is like a mini-computer. I bought a memory card to save my Madden stuff and it works just fine. It is still cheaper then an Xbox or PS2.

3. You can simulate games and seasons. And anytime you want to play a game inseason or playoffs you can do that too. The Franchise aspects are really fun. You can do a pretty accurate simulation.

4. The EA NCAA COLLEGE FOOTBALL 2004 Game is also awesome (ok I have 2 games now lol) and you can incorporate the players from that game into Madden as a Draft Class.
Again the simulation is not exact. Not all the same players come out into the draft. (You need to add names to NCAA Players though because they don't have actual names. Or you can just figure out who they are by position and school.) And depending on where teams finish the draft order will not be the same although by tinkering with wins and losses you can get draft order similar to what it will be. You can run some fun mock drafts over and over if you want with real teams and a number of real players - fun!

5. As for scouting 15 players only. After the 1st scouting session. You can hit start and you will get another scouting so you can then scout 15 different players. I can't remember now but there might be another round so you can scout 15 more or maybe not but you can at least get 30 different players scouted, maybe 45. There is a way to cheat of course. At the start you can change control of the other teams from CPU to USER and you can use the other teams 30 scoutings for yourself. And then change back control to the CPU after. I hope this makes sense.

6. You can also control the other teams instead of letting the CPU control them and release the actual Free Agents that will be available instead of the ones the computer selects. This adds to the realism and then you can give control back. When I am rebuilding the Cards I always release Blake hmmmm.

Also, I drafted Eli and did pretty well with my franchise. It seems really hard to win with the Cards no matter how many good FAs I add for me during simulation. It is almost as if the Games is biased against the Cards simulation wise.

6. Another thing I love about this game is the CLASSIC TEAMS (I hate the fact they so many are locked that is dumb!) You can add their real names and play with classic teams which is awesome. A site that gives you real names and numbers is www.nflarchives.com. I love replaying SB and playoff losses the Vikes had over the years and WINNING those games now.
