If Boston beats Yankees in Game 7, Marlins will win the the World Series.

I mean, the Marlins can do it, I mean they have a small market, we have a big market, lots more money, new stadium compared to their crappy stadium.

Do you think we'll ever see another World Series banner flying up top, do ya??

Are you kidding - we are only two years removed from one (which we won in our fourth year) - won 100 games two years ago and the almost made the playoffs this season after being terrible. If everyone's healthy next season - we even have an outside shot of going back again - but if you look at Colangelo - his bottom line overall has always been winning - his initial plan with the D-backs worked to perfection - got us a ring - and now we'll have to recoup a little bit - but yes - the D-Backs will win the World Series again - at some point - it's not like we have Bidwill running the show - besides - if someone told you before the season that the Marlins, who were almost contracted were going to the World Series - what would you have thought?

Who are you kidding? The Marlins don't care who they play. These guys believe they can hang with either club and will beat either club. It's a different bunch of guys, but the franchise has never lost a playoff series.

With the raw talent displayed by the BabyBacks, odds are better for the D'backs to win a World Series title than they are for the Cubs to actually reach the Series.

you know something, I started this thread just to get some different viewpoints of the Diamondbacks winning the WS again.

Let me tell you something, if the Marlins get to the World Series again, why can't the Diamondbacks. The Diamondbacks have already been to the post season 3 times, the Marlins twice.

If we can develop our talent, sign some more superstars, I have to agree with you, the 'odds are better for the D-backs to win a World Series title than they are for the Cubs to actually reach the Series'

I don't think we will be signing any mor superstars, at least not for 2004. I do think if we trade Schilling we could get a couple of good players that would improve the team.

I think the Marlins got on a roll. I don't think that they are bettar than Boston or NY. But the team that has the momentum is the one that's gonna win it all.

I think Arizona will see a World Series Championship within 20 years. I'm not sure however that it will be under the Jerry & Joe regime. There are tremendous tax incentives to sell franchises after 5 years. Jerry's not really the owner, but the managing limited partner of many.

Phoenix is a good sports town, but isn't going to support lovable losers. It's tradition has the Championship & not that of long-standing losing.
