His team underperformed this season, for certain. But you can't simply discount what he did last year. Was it a poopy division? Sure. But he was supposed to finish at the bottom of it.

I just find it curious that they're so much disdain for the guy. If you don't want him back because you think Miller is better, okay (i don't get it, but okay). But you don't want him back because you think he's no good? I don't get it.

By all accounts his team(players) didnt really like him. He threw a temper tantrum on the field during a game and drew a penalty for conduct. Per reports that was the final straw in the camels back.

I never said hes "no good" I think he is overrated.

"So much disdain" ??? Did you check the poll results?

Pioli is a smart football guy. I will go with what he thought. And did.

I'd bring him in and let him work with the young receivers. Nothing more.

I know that offense had serious problems this year, but I am not so sure adding Haley's personality is the answer.

There is something to be said for keeping the group together for another year.

He won a division title last year with a garbage team.

He won a garbage division, and the team wasnt that bad, this year's team would have won the division too if they didnt lose 5 of their best 10 players for the season.

He did get a bit of a raw deal in getting canned if you just judge by results and factor in injuries. What I think really got him canned is his players hated him and with how quickly Pioli was ready too fired him (he was rumored to be on the brink as early as week 4) then it seems like the front office couldnt stand him either.

He is a decent coach, not a miracle worker. The people crediting him for all of the offensive success in 07 and 08 casually ignore that the offense exploded as soon as Warner was a starter under Whiz and didnt die until '10 when Warner left.

If he can play QB at the NFL level then yes!

If he's just gonna coach the 2 we already have then I don't see what difference it makes.

Thanks but no thanks. IMO Whiz runs the offense so not much would change. TH is not well liked by his players and to me doesnt sound like a lot of good could come from him coming back, unless it is as a consultant.

Haley's first year with KC the O sucked. 2nd year they were much better but they also brought in Weiss as the OC. Weiss leaves and the KC O sucks again.

Yes that's all very simplistic but that's the line of thinking many use when bashing Whiz.

I voted no but if Whiz wants him back then so be it.

I say no. Most of his success was due to Warner. And once Miller moved from the press box to the sideline the offense got better;).

Anyone who can call Fitz a one trick pony to his face and get him to improve, gets my vote.

I like the idea of him working with the young guns.

I really like Todd Haley. I wouldn't mind having him back so long as the running game doesn't take a back seat.

Some people just aren't leaders because they have no people skills. But, it did seem like he was good at adjusting in game. I think we would have seen better first halves this year with him as OC. Maybe this will humble him a bit and work out for us. Look at Wade Phillips, not a good leader but a great d coordinator. In the wnd, I'd rather have him than Miller.

2 out of 5 years Haley was the man calling the offense with KW. 2 years now have been mediocre at best...works both ways!!!:D

I am all about a man that can get the job done, regardless of anything else.

Besides, I'm more of a Hot Kerry Rhodes kinda gal. (Though I WAS kinda crushing on Michael Bidwill at he BRR the other night.)

Well actually Whiz's first year was him and the Cards had one of the most prolific O's in the 2nd half of that year. IIRC then Haley for 1 year then Whiz again when we one the division.

Then KW retires and I don't care who the OC was SKUD wasn't going to do anything but suck.

I like Haley and think he do a great job for us that one year he was the OC but he isn't the 2nd coming.

I don't think Breston would have gone to KC if he didn't like Haley. Also, I believe that Warner liked Haley as well....so where is all this bad personality coming from?

Some guys just don't do well in the big chair....Martz and Norv Turner immediatly come to mind

Breaston followed the $$$$ nothing more and nothing less. Haley and that team offered the most You can bet on that.

How much more did they offer than the other teams? How much did it take for him to go and play for someone he didn't want to work for?

Steve Breaston: recent news. ... 7/29/2011: Signed a five-year, $25 million contract.

Apparently took 5 years 25 million. But again nobody said that Breaston dislikes Haley. I'm saying he followed the money. Thats what players do unless they are old and hanging on to long. He may very well like Haley but by most accounts the players as a whole do not.
