Dockett dedicates next game to his mom

I hope he has a huge game next week. I love the last line where he said he is taking a bunch of kids shopping. I looked at his twitter and he has posted how he wants to bring a bunch of his old teachers who told him he was no good to the game and have them sit at the 50 yard line. Gotta love Nine-0.

TEMPE, Ariz. (AP) - Arizona Cardinals defensive tackle Darnell Dockett spews out so many Twitter messages, it's hard to keep up.
One this week, though, in advance of Arizona's game at Atlanta
on Sunday, was special.
It read: "I think I'm going to dedicate sunday game to my MOM
she was killed when I was 13 I might cry B4 the game."
Dockett returned to his Decatur, Ga., home that day to find his
mother shot to death in the head, a crime that hasn't been solved.
He went to live with his father, who died a few months later of
pancreatic cancer. An uncle is credited with saving him, helping
him avoid a life of drugs and crime on the street.
Dockett said Wednesday that he will go back to his old
neighborhood this weekend and round up 20 or so youngsters and
"take them shopping."

Some of you may know, i have a friend who is a scout for Jax. We were out at dinner a couple months ago and he was telling me about some scouting interviews he's done over the years and he said a player for the Cards( he didn't want to use his name out of respect for the player) had a gruesome story about his mother being murdered. I told him, if I had to guess, the player was Dockett. He said that was who he was talking about but I guess it was a pretty horrific situation,as you can imagine, that DD went through. He said he had a ton of respect for DD. I never shared it before because I didn't know if it was common knowledge about his mom.
