Did anyone hear his comments the last 2 weeks after getting your a$$ spanked? I'm so tired of this guy running his mouth about how the team needs to turn it on, etc. Hello, Darnell!!! Knock!!! Knock!!! Make a freaking play you moron, please!!! Can you ever get off a block? And no, you not doubled every play because I watch the games. Darnell, shut your pie hole and make a play if you think you deserve another contract.

Have a nice Christmas,
Michal Bidwill

Dockett is one of the few defensive players we should be building around. He's not as consitent as we all would like but he is one of the few players offenses are paying extra attention to. Dockett is an emerging leader and he is part of the answer, not the problem.

Some of you really need to go to training camp and pay attention to Dockett. He is the furthest thing from what you want your younger players emulating or trying to be like. He IS NOT a leader.

He is ALWAYS loafing it and you can here him make comments as hes coming on and off the field from DAY FREAKING 1 about how tired he is and how he just needs rest etc.... It really is kind of pathetic. Much like that video(while cool) of him getting ready for the Philly game.

He also isnt a player you build a D around. He is one of those guys that needs good people around him in order to thrive. The GREAT players make tons of plays regardless of double teams. THEY FIND A WAY. Dockett just dissapears.

Like you said Dockett is one of the few that teams pay extra attention to, yet he still shows up to most games invicible. Those are not the types of players you build around. The types of players you build around get the extra attention and still produce. Dockett is a condiment to the meat of a defensive sandwich. He is the perfect type of player you surround your stars with, he is perfect supporting cast member, and has shown as much because the only time he produces at a consistent level is when he is not the main guy, like Berry was the first part of last season. Good players do well despite being keyed on by the opposition and that isnt Dockett.

We lack a truly elite player on our d-line, and badly need one for next season. If we found one, we'd all like Dockett better because he's a good #2 guy just like joe said.

If Dockett is sniffing around for a pay raise again in the offseason I hope Graves invites his agent to the Cards facilities for the negotiations. On a big screen behind Graves should be repeated sequences of every Cardinals defensive play against the Jets, Vikes, and Patriots from this year.

Our middle linebackers would look much better too with a dominant NT in front of them.

C'mon! The guy makes plays. Misses some also and doesn't have the best bedside manner. But, I'll take his motor any day. If you wanna blame the D blame IT not "doubleD". Did you see how many missed tackles in the SECONDARY there were, in any of those games. How many times guys were standing waiting for some one else to make a play? Not flying to the ball?
I'm not saying he's the greatest, but he's no slouch. As for a leader, IS there one on this team?
This is exactly what i'm saying in my other thread. Give the guy a solution instead of horse dung.

That's exactly how I feel. The Cardinals do not have a single difference maker on the D-line period. No one. There is no one that teams have to pay special attention, like a tough nose tackle or an exceptional pass rusher. Get one and wah-lah, Clancy Pendergast will suddenly get smarter, and the rest of the defense will get better.

I would love to see Albert Haynesworth and Suggs.

We could have used his play and leadership yesterday against New England.

All I know is on every play where our defense gives up 10-15 yard runs there is Dockett running down the running back looking to cause a fumble. Everyone else meanwhile is napping. I wont name the Lb'ers that take cat naps all game long. Its obvious who they are.

Yeah, guys are running right past him then the one thing he tries to do to make up for it it doesnt suceed at causing a total of 1 FF all year long. On a team that leads the league in forced fumbles no less.

If you gave me a choice between Dockett and Antonio Smith, I'd take Smith.

I am not the biggest Dockett Fan around here but I cant even say that. I think Smith is an even bigger underachiever.

Are you kidding me? Look back to the middle of the season last year when Dockett had 8 sacks. Since that time (except for the Cowboys game) he has disappeared. No pass rush what so ever. Nada!!! Pull up an old game from the season and watch him dance with 1 or 2 Dlineman. Nearly every play the result is the same.

I can count more games he was completely invincible this year then I can plays that he has made.

"Completely invincible"? I think you mean completely invisible.
