And if he does, would he go as a Cardinal or a Ram?
Is it his choice? Or is it like baseball, where the hall decides?

I'm not 100% that he REALLY deserves a place in the H.O.F to be honest. While he is a excellent player, he just doesn't have the visibility. We were treated to have been able to see him and learn first hand of what a contribution he made. But we are an island within the league. No........unfortunately, he doesn't make it.

If he goes, I think he goes as a Cardinal for sure. Not sure if he'll make it though.

The last couple of years moves him into the "doubtful" category. If he can put together one more Pro Bowl season, it'd really strengthen his case.

Definitely as a Cardinal, as I believe Canton picks. I actually think Aeneas would pick the Cardinals as well.

Hey look at the most overrated thread.

If Lynn Swann got in, how the hell can they leave Aeneas (an all-decade team member) out?

I think he should but being a Cardinal makes it tougher since so few people saw him most of his career.

He's got the career numbers to support it, outside of Deion there wasn't really another CB in his era that was clearly better, and Aeneas did things that Deion never did like tackle people and play the run.

haha it IS the hall of the very good.

Joe Dellamelurie and Dan Hampton got in. Those guys weren't even the best players on their TEAM let alone of their era. Aeneas and Deion Sanders were the best CBs of the 90s.

Aeneas gets in, hands down.

For anyone to think Aeneas doesn't get in - or that people don't know who he is - that is just ridiculous - he and Sanders were recognized every year as the best two shut down corners in the game - and Aeneas could actaully tackle as well - he should go into the hall as a Cardinal. And whoever made that Hall of Very Good comment never watched Aeneas play.

Aeneas is in - top corner of the decade.

And, he should go in as a Cardinal - he had two average years in STL. His best years by far were in Arizona.

The Hall of Very Good is in reference to good players, but not hall of fame caliber players, being inducted into the Hall of Fame.

No way in hell, is Lynn Swann or Dan Hampton Hall of Famers....if Dan and Lynn got in, shouldn't guys like Rodney Hampton also get in?

I was referring to this - which intimates that Aeneas was only "very good" and not great which to me is preposterous. I agree that it's the Hall of Very Good - which gives even more reason why Aeneas should be a shoe-in.

He gets in easily. I think this will be his last season and I plan to
make my first trip to Canton to see him inducted to the HOF. I believe Aeneas was better than Deion because teams didn't
throw at Peion more, his name scared people. Aeneas was a true
professional and we got him in the 3rd round.

I agree that he should go in, but my argument would be that he played on teams that weren't the best and were seldom seen on national tv. Hampton and Swann on the other hand played on teams that were on the national stage about every week-end, and in prime time NLF cities, playoffs, and super bowls. I do hope he gets in I watched him play Michael Irvin better then any other CB in the league and at the time that was quite an accomplishment.

Well if that were true, he wouldn't have been voted into so many Pro Bowls. People know who Aeneas is. :D

Does the Football HOF induct players by team, or just as an individual? I haven't been there.
