I enjoy watching the Red Zone on Sundays. I usually record other games I like so I can speed to the beginning of each play. Only listen to the announcers a few minutes each game. I never watch any pregame or hype leading up to a game. "Just the facts, Mam." as Joe Friday used to say. I watch the Super Bowl, but only the game, never pay any attention whatsoever to the days leading up to it, the halftime show, or any commercials.
Now for college football, I love it no matter who is playing. Love the spirit of the fans and the whole spectacle. I can watch nearly any college game as long as it is relatively close. And there are lots of teams besides ASU I root for weekly.
By Monday night I am well overdosed on football each week. Just so many games starting on Thursday night right thru. If I had to give up one of either pro or college, I would give up pro. I just find the college game/teams on a whole so much more involving and exciting from the coaches, players, teams/schools, etc. Plus you can watch so many teams and schools, and it seems like nearly every night of the week, except when the Pros take over on Sun and Mon.
I care a lot more about my 2 time alma mater, ASU, and if they win or not, than I do the Cards. I have a love/hate relationship with the Cards, and am so used to them losing that it doesn't affect me as much. I have been an ASU fan, student, and employee, plus gone to games for 50 years.
Since there is no one left in my life to care what happens to me, I have thought of having an ASU tattoo on my butt cheek, leaving my body to the Med School at UofA, and when those Wildcat med students roll me over to dissect me, they'll be greeted by Sparky with the words "You can kiss my A.." written underneath.
