If so, what distro?

I've been using Suse 10.1 and I like it but I don't....... Everybody is jumping on the Ubuntu bandwagon like it's the 1994 Dallas Cowboys, but I just don't like the feeling I get about it.

I have a LAMP server running on a Dell Poweredge server on SUSE

I used to run some older versions of Red Hat, but nothing for a while.

Speaking of LAMP, I installed WAMP on my laptop and could not be happier in my php development.

What is Ubuntu?

I tried to set up WAMP on my desktop and work and I couldn't get the PHP to parse correctly..... there are like 1400 DLLs and it just wasn't jiving with apache. There is a ton of documentation out there, but I was too lazy and just guessed so that was probably my problem there

I never really deal with it. We have two machines running an app named Backup PC. One is actually out of state at a data center, and we do offsite backups to it from our main file server. The other sits here and backups every desktop's my docs and desktops.

I think the guys have been having problems with one of them continually rebooting, but I think its a hardware problem.

I didn't know this distro existed. I didn't want to use Ubuntu because I hate GNOME, but if this comes with KDE, I'm there.

Somethings I need to use the GUI for, most of the time we run in Run Level 3

In my estimation HB3 can't get a Ph.D in nerdology with an emphasis in WoW. I had a discussion with one of my roommates in college about the levels of nerdity (based partially on an SNL sketch). We came up with four levels. The barriers between the levels are not very sharp so there can hybrids.

A nerd is someone with technical skill and above average intelligence that is in many respects normal (i.e. they may have some social skills and may be interested in sports). A geek on the other hand does not necessarily have above average technical skill and usually has poor social skills. They are the type most likely to be found playing dungeons and dragons on a Saturday night. The third class is a dweeb, which is someone with at most average intelligence that lack social skills but not does do things like play dungeons and dragons. The final level is spazz. This kind of person does really weird things like singing when no one is around and only running with their head down.
