Sounds crazy I know, but I'll bet many of you have noticed that the NFL Network has yet to update our logo.
If you haven't, watch the logos as they roll up behind Rich Eisen. It's still the old logo.
I wanted to e-mail somebody at NFL Network but the web sight doesn't tell you how to.

Funny what us Cardinal fans have to worry about these days, huh?

They have so many repeats , I guess they thought repeating our old logo fits the format.

Yes! I've seen that everytime. I wonder why they haven't updated it yet. They must feel that the average fan would never notice. Still, NFL network is supposed to be 100% for the FANS. You would think they would change it. I can't imagine it would require very much effort.

It seems to get allot of air time, but I agree, it's pretty pathetic for NFL network to still be showing the old logo. The Bidwill's should be complaining about it.

I'm sure if it were the Bronco's, it would have been updated long ago.

I'm pretty sure Mr. B doesn't notice a whole lot anymore. I was at HQ today doing my work thing, and he was kinda just meandering around while Michael was having this serious looking meeting. (When I walked by, Michael looked at me like I was a spy from Seattle or something.)

The TV viewing public has a horrible habit of eating their young.

Have you forgotten what it was like before there was an NFL Network - (particularly in the media black hole of the off-season).

They covered a Cardinal minicamp session. They were all over Senior Bowl practices and Combine workouts.

Since the draft, Total Access has had Edge and Leinart interviewed more than once.

And tomorrow, they're running a Cardinal marathon.

Could they improve the quality of their draft coverage? (Sure - though there sure was plenty of quantity).

Can a case be made that ESPN does it better? (Sure - but do you really think ESPN would have given a rats ass about covering the Senior Bowl and Combine if NFLNet wasn't breathing down their necks)?

Do they sing the NFL "company song" a bit too frequently? (Probably - but it doesn't bother me because they pull no punches about being a PR arm of the NFL. And the benefits of this far outweigh the negatives).

In the past, I've seen terrific TV shows (and channels) go off the air because the viewing public got nitpicky.

By all means, be constructively critical, but please cut them some slack.

Actually I preferred their coverage to ESPN's. More content and less jock talk and lockeroom bickering. Plus most of ESPN's commercials just grate on my nerves. I think NFL Net beat their coverage by a long shot.

The Sporting News did the same thing this week. The Cardinal Logo on the draft grades is the old logo, and I know they have used the new logo many times.

CBS still had the old logo the entire season last year. Before Edge and Leinart we were not a priority. Now we may be.

Even though a lot of people make fun of the Cards, there are still a lot out there that would love to see the Big Red do something good and go a long way.

NFL Network vs ESPN

I actually preferred NFL Network's coverage of the draft. I do like Kiper but Chris "the mouth" Berman would hardly let Kiper or Chris Mortensen get a word in edgewise. Other than Trent Green the NFL jocks ESPN brought in were next to worthless. Michael Irvin is worthless. Tom Jackson is worthless. They don't give Jaworski enuf time to do his job.

Contrast that with NFL Network. Mayock can get on your nerves sometime but his evaluations are solid. Corey Chavous has an encyclopedic knowledge of college players and you can see it's a labor of love for him. Adam Schefter is nowhere near Mortensen and/or John Clayton as an NFL Insider, but he ain't chopped liver either.

ESPN needs to pull the plug on Berman and let Suzy Kolber do BOTH days of the Draft. He really adds nothing but some worthless history.

Rich Eisen was solid, but after the 50th time of whining about how long he'd been on the air, I was ready to puke.
