Does this site "only" support the Cardinals, or what?

No serious, I know NOTHIGN about football. In fact, I thought Cardinals is a baseball team. The name sounds like one. Never even heard of Cardinals until I came here. That's the truth.

I think it would do wonders for the Suns board if the regulars on here welcomed new people, and went out of their way to try and invite new people in.

Sometimes I tend to hear how this board isn't very open to new people. You have to learn to be.

Secondly, the Cards forum is like a big family, where many of the people having met each other at games and stuff.

You can't expect this board to have that same energy or family without having all met each other...but we can try.

That's a huge point. It seems to me that a lot of people on the Suns board aren't even in Phoenix. I can't really tell people to come here because I simply don't know any Suns fans that would here in LA.

I followed Skkorp over here from the old Cards Corner on AOL. (Those were the days!)

I first joined when it was Rivals.com and then I think AZSPORTS. Then, Skkorrp appeared. The roots were Cardinal fans but Skkorp wanted to support all sports in AZ. And, he has done a fine job.

Don't complain. Write articles, influence your friends to vist the site. Go Cards, Suns, DBacks, Yotes, Rats, Devils. UofA can go to !@#$!@#$...:D

Ditto. I'm trying to convert Grizzlies fans, but they haven't seen the light:)

Who is this Cardinals Team everyone is referring to? St. Louis Cardinals play baseball in the MLB, not football in the NFL...

I am not aware of any Cardinals playing competitive football in the NFL. But then again, I only watch and follow compelling franchises (see Dallas Cowboys) who compete.
What a joke. Typical Arizonan

I follow the Cards, Suns, Dbacks and maybe the yotes. Always loved football. Would never have found this site if it wasn't for the Cardinals. Suns are entertaining, but the NBA lacks something. I really don't know what it is but... like someone said earlier, football is more of an event.

Suns regular season means nothing. It's all about what they do in the playoffs.

Cards.. well getting to the playoffs is like winning a championship :biglaugh:

I live in South Florida now but I'm not a big fan of this comment.....

Trust me no one hates the Cowboys more than me and i think fans who make elementary school jokes about my Cards are a) un-original and b) just plain not funny, but I am a typical Arizonan and damn proud of it.

The key to the legitimacy of the post you quoted is the poster's name. Anyone who is goofy enough to GO TO ASU and LIVE IN TUCSON afterwards should probably have their head checked as that seems like the reverse of popular thought.

In my book, Arizona's Finest, you're not a typical Arizonan. The typical Arizonan grows up in AZ but somehow becomes a Raider, Cowboy, Patriot, Tampa Bay ect... fan. I went to a pretty big high school in AZ and I was the only known Cardinal fan because of spineless folks like TusconDevil. In fact my family was the only Cardinal fans that I knew of in Lake Havasu until I found Cardinal message boards a few years ago.

Don't take my post wrong, if there were more people like yourself I wouldn't have had to make the comment to TusconDevil.

I guess I don't really understand the big fuss. I guess I don't understand why there are always people on message boards that feel it is their job to convert everyone to their way of thinking.

Fact: The Cards are a franchise that has struggled for years. Most of the years they have been bottom dwellers. Every year there are fans that believe this is the year. There is always some event that will take place (trade, draft pick etc...) that will change the franchise into a winner. As a relative newcomer to the state in comparison to the Suns, most people can probably remember when the Cards came here and may have already had loyalty to another team.

Just because someone follows football and is from the state of AZ doesn't mean they have to be a Card fan. Conversely, just because someone is a fan of a team that has had meager success doesn't make them stupid. There is something exciting to see something built from nothing.

The Suns have their problems too. They have been close enough to smell a championship, but never tasted it.

There is no need for competition between sports. To say one is better or more exciting than the other is simply a matter of personal preference. I like some good humered smack talk like the rest of you, but it frustrates me to hear a 5 page rant over something with no real significance.

I wrote an article that got published here, once. :p

Cardinals are getting a lot of articles on the front page because it's the offseason for them. If you see any Suns articles, they'll be in June, July, or August.

But, the main thing is that AZSF is a Cards site first, and the biggest Cards site (that I know of, at least). As long as phxsuns.net is the 800-lb. "Gorilla in Oliver Miller costume" among Suns sites, this board won't have the same zing as the site's Cards board.

I've been to many other suns boards, but never posted. I've been around here since the backcourt days (only a few will know what i'm talking about), and followed everything here since it started.

Most of the discussions are good here, and the board seems to have experts in about every feild:)

If Amare got a rare disease casused by something like gardening, I wouldn't got to medical journals to find out what the dangers are, i'd go right here.

:)

What?
I'll be a huge NBA fan when the playoffs start. And will remain so until the Suns are eliminated or win it all. And if they win the championship i'll go buy a shirt just like I did the D-Backs.

Then I'm actually rooting for the Suns to win the championship. We all know how bad you need a new shirt.
