I don't know if they're a model organization, but Jeff Ireland has left that team with a ton of cap space, plenty of room to create more, and a potential franchise quarterback. Despite all the distractions, that was still a team that finished .500 and was alive in the playoff hunt longer than the Arizona Cardinals were.

I'll agree with Southpaw that their ownership situation is less than ideal, but they're far from one of the five worst-run organizations in the NFL.

One of my favorite hobbies is watching you bang on your local team. The worst the Dolphins have been in in the last five years has been slightly below-average. They play in a division with two consistent playoff teams, one of which is a dynasty, and they just answered their quarterback question two years ago.

Philbin is all of one game below .500 as a head coach.

Dolphins = mediocrity.

Jets are not a consistent playoff team. Missed the last 3 years.

Dolphins have not been in the playoffs since 2008 and that was after another 7 season dry spell dating back to 2001. Those were wild card teams and lost to the Ravens both times by a combined score of 47 - 12.
