Rumor is Caudill decommitted today.

Note, this is not in any way from the same source that told me about Josiah Turner, this is directly off BRO, but it's from a guy who's usually pretty reliable and he says it's a done deal, he notified ASU today he's back on the market.

I have no idea how accurate it is.

Hm thats strange. Youd think the King commitment would make him want to stick around even more, not re-open things up. Very odd if true.

EDIT: If anyoen can provide linkaid it would be appreciated, ive got to jet off to work now. :D

I don't see why he's decommitting. He must feel threatened by the possible comittment of Desrosiers. I agree with Mao, his size and the lack of big men on the west coast (well that haven't been discovered yet) make him over-hyped. ASU has the look of an up-tempo team with the recruits they've gotten, Caudill doesn't really fit that style.

I'll throw out the completely off the cuff conspiracy theory being floated by UCLA fans.

A few days ago Clark Francis reports Josh Smith may be going to OU, not UCLA. Everyone thinks he's nuts until today the Seattle Times and a prominent UW blog site both confirm that Capel has an in home visit scheduled with Smith and he will be visiting OU. Howland was visiting Smith I believe yesterday. the theory is Howland believes something has radically changed with Smith, makes a last ditch plea to get him to commit to UCLA, decides he probably can't compete with the "offer" OU is making.

Word gets out in "recruiting circles", and Caudill immediately decommits figuring if UCLA doesn't get Smith, they'll now want Caudill?

Again it's total conjecture from UCLA fans and makes a bunch of assumptions such as OU could only get smith by cheating, that Smith would be influenced by cheating, and that Caudill only verballed to ASU because he thought UCLA wasn't going to make him a priority.

Who knows but it's an interesting swing for both schools.
