Watching this team all season it's hard to get a gauge on them. One week they're getting lit up by Jameis Winston then the next they're beating the Patriots in Foxboro. As bad as they can be they do have aspects of their game that can be dangerous. They have one of the best special teams in the league especially with Sproles returning kicks. They also have 2 very talented TE's in Ertz and Celek. Celek, if you remember, carved us up pretty badly in the NFC championship game. On defense they have Fletcher Cox who is a beast and showed it yesterday and in the secondary they have Malcolm Jenkins and Byron Maxwell, both of whom have been having fine seasons. They can be beaten and dominated and we have the horses to do it but, of course, we have to keep the turnovers to a minimum. I'm really looking forward to next Monday night to hopefully be able to see our boys clinch the division.

I agree. This is a game the Cards cannot take lightly but knowing BA he will not let that happen. Have not watched a lot of the eagles so do not know much about them. I have watched enough Bradford here in St. Louis to know he is very hit or miss. How is he playing? How is their Dline? Basically how do the Cards match up with them.

You mean Sunday Night not Monday!!

He's been exactly that. Hit or miss. He looks brilliant at times and at other times he looks Ryan Lindley bad. Yesterday he looked pretty damned good hitting on some deep routes, one went for a long TD. His lone INT was plucked from Celek and not due to anything he did wrong.

Important to remember that this is still a squad trying to win the NFC East. It's still obtainable for them.

They will come out with haymakers. We need to be prepared.

When Bradford was here he always seems to play decent against the Cards so I am hoping that is still not the case. TE's do concern me. We had trouble in the Minny game against Rudolph. One person who alos scares me is Sproles coming out the backfield. We sometimes have had trouble with those type of plays.

Any 'hurry up' offense they run shouldn't bother our secondary too much, but I think it wouldn't be a good thing for our front 7 not to be able to substitute.

btw... weather forecast shows 48 high 33 low... not all that bad imo

If the Eagles don't get any special teams scores, this game probably won't be close. Bradford is awful and their secondary is pretty bad too. The Cardinals should be able to score as much as they'd like.

Being at home is all Philly has going for it. If the game was in Arizona the Cards would be easy double digit favorites.

Huge game for Cards. Win it and we have the NFC West. Lose it and we have the Packers and Seahawks and could end up as a wildcard.

we wont be keying on PHI running game as much as we did vs MIN, I doubt they are as open.

Cannot sleep on the Eagles. While they are not consistent, when they are good, they are very good.

I remember at the beginning of the season, the Eagles were said to have circled the Cardinals game on their calendar.

Our team is wading in record waters right now , some records already set and others to come . This team is not liking in incentive as it approaches these last three games .

should be a good game....if we had to lose one more this season I would prefer it to be this one...but we don't have to lose another one.

I hope that Frostee is healthy enough to start getting into the rotation for the Cards DL.

Not sure why. I would think the opposite is true. The last time we played in Philly, the officiating was downright atrocious. I was there with friends of mine who are diehard Eagle fans. They giggled under their breath the whole game. Seeing that that loss to the Eagles kept us out of the playoffs, I would think the Cardinals have also circled that game. Philly will be dangerous because the officials will keep them in the game. Take it to the bank.

I think it was Ed Werder or some other ESPN insider that is basically embedded in the NFCE. The were on AZ sports. Said the Eagles owe the Cards for last year's miracle win.

Whats funny is the Eagles lost it. The Cards didn't have the miracle win. Who had the ball inside the Cardinals 5 at the end of the game and couldn't score? Makes me laugh because the EAGLES had a chance to win that game but found a way not to

Bradford is the kind of Qb that give Bettcher issues: comfortable with quick reads / short throws.

Their leading receiver, Jordan Matthews is averaging 10 yards a reception. Possession type stats. The next two leading receivers yardage wise are TEs -- Ertz and Celek -- and have better avg yds per reception than Matthews. In terms of targets: its Matthews and Ertz -- then a big drop off to every one else.

So I expect what we have seen now from the 49ers, Rams, and Vikings -- the short passing game with an emphasis on getting a quick throw to a back or TE in space when the Cards bring heavy blitzes. If i am Chip Kelley -- I am thinking Darren Spoles in space on third down.

My thought exactly.

I think this board needs an attitude adjustment. The Cards are a damn good, top level team and we should start acting like it. For weeks I've read a lot of angst and worry about our opponents(the Rams, c'mon). The Cards play their game and they'll handle Philly. Now, I'm even reading about fearing Seattle in the playoffs.

Those teams should fear the Cardinals and we should act like we're fans of one of the best, if not the best, teams in the league. Do you really think Patriots fans would be worrying about going into a game at Philly? It would be like, another week, another win. The only question is by how much.

Sure, the Cards could lose. It's the NFL and any team can win. But the Cards are 11-2 this year and 20-3 the last 2 years with Carson Palmer's under center. Let's start acting like it. Us fans need some of the BA swagger. Go into Philly, take care of business, and lock down the #2 seed and see you in January.

Thank you. Good post. They as any NFL team has a shot but only if we give them one.

thats awesome

in that spirit: the Eagles D weakness is against the run -- like bottom 5 or so - and I like that matchup against a Cardinal run game that seems to be rounding into form.

i don't think the game will be a cakewalk at all... the Eagles are playing for their playoff lives, it's on the road and conditions will be cold. That said, unless we lay an egg, we should come out with a W and I'll be pretty pissed if we don't.
