If some one can find a receiver who got 1000 yards in a season with 2 rookie QBs getting plural starts, mixed with some one like DA and his stats as our starter, school me.

Please tell me why Fitz isn't a all out beast, and the only one we have on our offense.

Hyphen and our kickers rock, but they aren't in the offense every down like Larry is. Breaston is cool, but he is open because Fitz is on the field.

His attitude sucks even more than his play. If they don't look at him all the time, he is acting like T.O on the field and sideline.

That's not about team. It's about Fitz. I think that's the worst about the whole thing. I hate that attitude. I had a different view on him one till two years ago, but last year even with Kurt in there, we saw some signs on this bad attitude from Fitz, remember the quote from his brother?

Wow, can't really say much if that is how you feel. He is the biggest reason we get first downs with the crappy QBs we have but to each their own, or how ever you say it.
If you would rather have Breaston over Fitz, it is all good, no worries.

Oh, and as for Early. I read in one of the posts about the potential Doucet has, and I agree. But at some point you have to produce. This year was the year for someone, anyone to step up, and in reality, no one did.

Doucet still runs well after the catch......the catch part is the problem.

Doucet's issue as I talked in another thread is an issue of toughness. Top players play throw hip flexors and other non-serious injuries all the time.

Doucet deserves another season to show his ability, since it will be cheap and he has played very well at times. But it wouldn't hurt to address WR on day one again this year or bring in another steady, cheap veteran.

I don't find that amazing. What is the completion percentage? It's probably the half of what it used to be. The QB's are just looking in his direction most of the time, while with Kurt, every reciever got the same attention.

He is not open, yet they are forced to throw to him, because if they don't, he is going to be mad, like we saw it early in the season. Kurt had that ability to complete throws even when Fitz was perfectly covered and not open, that helped alot, these QB's dont have that ability.

If that is true how is it that Doucet has more catches than last season and Breaston is only 12 behind last season? Yet we'll probably have fewer pass attempts this year than last.

In addition the other teams know that Fitz is the main guy and would be looking to shut him down so his going over 1000 is even more impressive.

The third round picks in Whis' tenure have combined for:

56 tackles, 1 FF, 1 INT
72 catches, 669 yds receiving, 3 TD

That's a shockingly low amount of production from 4 high round picks. This team simply has to make better use of its draft picks.

As for Early, I think we know the reason why he fell in the draft. The guy can't stay healthy. I had high hopes for him, but it's probably best to release him and move on.

Doucet's three seasons in the NFL have all been hampered by injuries. As a rookie he had hamstrring and rib problems. Last year it was ribs and ankle. This year, he missed four of the first five games because of surgery to fix a sports hernia. The latest injury is not related to that, coach Ken Whisenhunt said Monday.

Now maybe, just maybe, he would find a way to stay healthy next season, but depending on him to fill the third receiver role requires a lot more faith than I can muster at the moment.
