Draft Noise Going Around - QBs

He hasn’t thrown yet, but more and more I’m hearing Daniels will go in the top 3, maybe even 2 if he throws great. The Pats really like Harrison, but likely not enough to resist a trade with so many holes to fill. If things go that way it will be hard for the Cards to get much value trading down. There is virtually total consensus that Harrison is the top WR. However, with such a strong pool of WRs, no team seems likely to pay a solid price to move up. So Ossenfort will be left with 3 options. The most obvious is to just take Harrison. If he is all in for an OT, the second option is he could take his choice. Option 3 hinges on the NYG who seem to have the greatest need for both a WR and an OT. They likely wouldn’t pay more than pick #70 to move up if they go WR. The Chargers likely take a tackle so the Cards would get the guy the Chargers don’t take. That trade makes little sense if the Cards have an OT preference.

Just dont see how Bidwill lets a team lacking stars willing pass on MHJ. If he's gone then sure trade down, but man.

OT but Passing on AP was an all time blunder but he wasn’t seen as a surefire prospect coming out that year. He dealt with injuries his final season and many thought his running style wouldn’t hold up. It was overthinking in hindsight but there’s a reason he didn’t go top-5. Man with him and Fitz/Q those years though? It probably extends Kurt’s resurgent prime by 2-3 years.

First round is, IMO, too blunt an instrument to use to carve up this list. MHJ is cleaner than all the prospects listed except Ja’Marr Chase.

I think the hyperbole is really high on him right now. If you spend a top 5 pick on him he absolutely must become Jamaar Chase.

Most if not all of them would have been better than the player picked by the Arizona Football Cardinals in those drafts. Except Henry Ruggs.

Hmmm... I'm guessing but I think maybe you're not super impressed by MJH's tape. You're not like, "wow".

I'm always more leery of prospects with big time tools who lack elite production. Very fast WRs don't always translate. The same can be said for very big receivers. The worst hit rate is corners over 6'2.
