But wasn't your point against Williams that he doesn't play D?

They should had to find PT for Wallace this year too anyway they signed Jackson.
What did or will change since last September concerning this?

Ugh, try not to be so tedious. Yes, that's one of many knocks against Williams. Another is that he will be too expensive. If the Suns could get a good player for $1-2 million that would be one thing. To get one with crippling flaws is another story.

I'm not making comparisons with Langhi. Langhi is a terrible twelfth man who plays nearly for free. There are hundreds of similar players out there, and many of them would be better than Langhi. So what? I thought you were talking about more significant acquisitions.

He won't. Actually he would be cheaper than Langhi because Williams is a 10+ year veteran.

I really gladly would talk about more significant acquisitions but I highly doubt that Suns would spend more than 0.5 mil. on a (not own) FA.

If Williams were willing to sign with the Suns for the veteran minimum, which I highly doubt, then I agree he would be better than Langhi.

TRADE TALK SO....

Question for Hscilla, if Suns make trade after season is over(after 2nd round playoffs hehe) does salary in trade count for 2003/2004 season? If so would a Bo Outlaw, 1st round pick in 2003 for Eric Williams and Boston's 1st round pick work? Suns could get cap space after season and back-up SF for season - Boston gets excellent role player and could move up 1-3 spots in draft. Suns could draft PF to replace Bo, resign Voskuhl and have a few dollars to sign back-up PG. hehe

Do you think that he is worth more?

If yes who wants to pay him more than the vet min.?

No, still this season's salaries count.

You believe it or not I already thought about this proposal but wasn't brave enough to post it on this board.

It doesn't work this season but after 1st July it works technically because Outlaw's salary is decreasing while Williams' is increasing.

I agree it makes sense for both teams.

BOS completely lacks frontcourt-depth while Suns definitely could use Williams as a defensive-minded swingman.

I reluctantly would swap the picks because without it I would take Nick Collison at #13-14 and would sign a backup PG, re-sign Voskuhl (maybe Williams) and Suns' roster is complete for the next season.

But BOS probably would demand swapping of picks because they like Williams.
I remember that they reportedly refused adding Williams to the Baker-deal and SEA "had" to accept Potapenko instead of him.

I've had some free time lately and after looking at salaries, I'd make Raptors/Suns trade proposal (Penny and 1st round-Murray, Hunter, and Montross) IF Murray can come back next year and it was future draft pick. There just aren't many options for Suns for luxury tax moves. We'd be able to draft best available with depth at all positions and save money.

Well, let's see, Peja was hurt to start the season, and then Hedo went down. That left them with just Christie and Wallace on 2 and 3. The signed Jackson because an all star and another very talented young player were injured.

Hopefully, there will be no injuries to Peja or Hedo this summer, and thus, there is no need for Jackson. (I do think the Lakers are going to go after him though)

i love kirk hinrich. i see so much horny in him it's unbelievable. he can be a MOST effective swing backcourt player. also like wade, but more as a starting sg.

also, anyone else slobbering over carmelo lately? i think i'd trade marion and a future 1st for him. kid's got mad game. makes me wonder if lebron is really worth the #1 over 'melo . . .

He reminds me of Steve Nash. He actually looks like Nash.
