Michael Carter-Williams reportedly coming back to Phoenix. He would be a candidate for #5 unless the Suns are looking to move down or acquire another pick.

Please no. We drafted a tall PG that can only pass but sucks on defense and can't shoot last year in Marshall.

Ideal size for a PG but he is prone to turning the ball over and will need work on his shooting as you point out. The Suns may bring a number of players back for a second look. I just do not see the Suns drafting him at #5 but this is Ryan McDonough's first draft with the Suns so we shall see how he thinks. The Suns do seem locked into drafting another PG.

Also Michael Carter-Williams has already been invited to the Green Room along with the other names listed below.

Chad Ford ‏@chadfordinsider 22 Jun

Green room invitees: Noel, Oladipo, Porter, Len, Bennett, McLemore, Burke, Carter-Williams, McCollum & Zeller.

More names may be added but someone likes Williams.

I really hope it's the latter (acquire another pick).

Can you say Rajon Rondo 2.0?

I hope it's the latter as well. The TO's worry me more than the shooting because he has a nice stroke which may lead to improved shooting.

I like McCollum a lot more than Carter-Williams.

If we drafted either one at #5 I'd be disappointed but if I had to choose between them I'd take C-W because he is a good defender while McCollum is bad. Of course, if McD and crew picked either one of them at five, I'd expect to be shown that I was wrong.

In the past, multiple workouts were a good indicator of whom the Suns were going to draft. I hope it's not the case with Carter-Williams. His DX scouting report is downright scary:
This study is not kind to Michael Carter-Williams who ranks as the least efficient scorer in this group at 0.746 points per-possession. His 22.1% overall turnover rate is the second worst among his peers, as is his 0.683 PPP in the half court. Those two stats are representative of the two key areas his scouting report notes he need to make strides in to reach his potential as a pro: his decision-making and perimeter shooting.
It would also be a reach at #5 as he is projected to go 8-15.
