Bryan Colangelo was a terrible GM and really that is the bottom line.

If we had McDonough in 2003? we would have some rings by now because I doubt that McDonough would be talked into trading a #7 pick for nothing but a future pick.

Must have forgot that 2 years ago he lead us to 24-58 record.

You remembered wrong. That was actually Alvin Gentry and Michael Beasley leading.

Still, why so salty Slin? I thought your stats told you Dragic sucks. You should be happy as I'd assume you must think the Suns are a lock for the playoffs now without Dragic.

Gambo says that one of the reasons is that the Suns only offered Frye 3 years and did not match the contract Orlando offered...

So now on my team stream it says Suns are shopping Isaiah Thomas in hopes they can convince Dragic to stay so what if Dragic does leave and Isiah stays how's that locker room now

Sounds like a mess

On Wednesday, Dragic underscored the importance of that role change.

"I don't feel comfortable with my situation," he said, adding, "It's just different. Standing in the corner, it's not my game. I see that we're not going the right direction. That's why I take action and try to put myself in a better position."
We all knew that's not your game Goran, that's why we kept wondering all season long why Hornacek kept doing it.

Pretty telling coming from a guy like Goran. It's not like him to speak this way. It's hard to totally blame Jeff IMO though. He's trying to get his 3 best backcourt players on the floor and juggle egos. It's a tough spot for him to be in.

Has anyone considered that this has been the plan all along? Goran made himself a valuable asset last year, and when IT turned out to be as good (if not better) than billed and Bledsoe payed ball, it as time to get something for Goran, who undoubtedly would have cost a lot of money next season.

I love Goran as much as the next guy, but he is NOT the PG that will get you to the next level. He is not clutch in close games. He would make us perennial contenders, but never get us to the next level. Do we really want to go through that again like we did under d'Antoni?

I agree with the possibility in your first paragraph but not the second. Give Dragic enough talent around him and he can take a team to the next level.

The only good thing from all this is that the Suns are relevant for the first time in over 4 years. Suns and Dragic were trending on Twitter and have been talked about quite a bit on ESPN.

Almost every team's fanbase is now looking into Suns forums and Suns media person for tweets about Goran :D

Pretty pathetic from Goran. Obviously he cares more about his personal stats and comfort than actual winning games since the Suns have been considerably better when he played alongside Bledsoe.

Goran's record as a starting PG is somewhere around 50 wins and 90 losses.

Those are some damning quotes.

"I don't trust them anymore," Dragic said following Wednesday's practice session. "It happens too many times. Two, three times."

"They give promises, OK. It's hard. But at the same time, I wish them all the best. They were great to me the past five years. I'm always going to have a good memory about Phoenix fans and the city. I just hit that point of my career that it's better for me and my family to move on."

I want to know more, though I am sure we'll never know the details of what was promised to him.

Supposedly some of it has to do with his brother. Which IMO is pretty ridiculous. It was a favor to sign him in the first place. His brother supposedly refused a D-League assignment, which Goran took as a slight, no PT for his brother, Goran took as a slight.

I like Goran, and while I've favored Bledsoe more, I still call things like I see them. Even know, assuming no one is blowing the Suns doors off with these Goran offers, I'd prefer they give away IT, expand Goran's role and see if that and the extra year we'd be able to offer is enough to entice him to stay. But all in all, these quotes from Goran make me not really care what happens to him. His whiney on court demeanor (which has been present for years) is now pouring out to the press. Another whiney, me first, player.

You can't be serious. No way the Suns can keep him after this.

Teammates are not going to be happy about these comments. Dragic officially destroyed the playoff chase with those quotes.

And then offer him a 5 years 100M$ contract in the offseason as a reward? That he might not even take and leave us empty handed?

You ship Dragic for that Pelicans pick and whatever you can get off of Houston or even just McLemore or Stauskas plus something.

With PHX's luck, they'll deal him to LAL to get the unprotected pick then LA will land outside the Top 5 and PHX will end up getting the pick anyway.

Why would teammates care about his misgivings with the FO? He is not calling out the coach or other players. He says he was promised a PG spot when brought back to PHX and to him that was important and to him that was a promise broken. Why is that hard to understand?
The second promise probably had to do with Zoran, and no Zoran shouldn't be playing and Goran should understand that, but the FO should have never brought him in.

I was hoping there was some language interpretation problems but his negative comments are all too clear.

For all the Bled/Goran debaters out there it should be noted that Bledose said about 10 words during the entire drawn out process it took to finally get him signed.

Yannis Koutroupis @YannisNBA
Between Bledsoe's long negotiations, Dragic's anger and the blatant shopping of Thomas, Suns' front office building bad reputation w/players
What a joke.

Sarver really needs to get involved here. If nothing else, he needs to apologize to Dragic personally and ask him to make some nice statements when this is all over.

So true. Bledsoe took the high road. He got some criticism for being so quiet.

Dragic does not deserve an apology. He needs to apologize to the team and the fans for dealing with this during a playoff run. If you want out, wait out the season and go where you want.

To drag this out right now is destructive and unprofessional. I have lost all respect for Dragic.
