Overpaid, should have given him vets minimum.

I don't know the exact #'s but I'm willing to bet a $100 dollars that the number of 2nd string QB's in the league getting the vet minimum is less than 5. Seriously, Drew isn't a HOFer but he is a quality back up QB and QB's in this league get over paid.

Ian Rapoport says 2yr 6.5 million with potential upside (probably incentives he could hit if Palmer gets injured)

If one of his incentives is to at least acknowledge his 2nd or 3rd read, on at least 20% of his passing snaps, I'll be thrilled! :D

I'm obviously not a huge Stanton fan, but given the degree of difficulty in learning Arians offense, we were not going to find a better QB2 option at any price really.

I'm totally on board with this move.

No one else wanted him.

I was actually wondering if their are any other fan forums out there, for QB needy teams, that are actually bummed and let down because they didn't sign Stanton. Kinda like how some on this forum have been acting because of JPP, Hali, et al.

Good signing. I still want us to sign Johnny Football if he's available

As soon as he gets through his next stint in rehab; clears away the domestic assault issue, etc, etc, etc... he'll certainly be available and have a spot waiting for him in the Arena League.

Everybody has to hit bottom sometimes before they get their head on straight. All his problems are being young and not using his head. Most people outgrow that stuff. Hopefully he grows up soon and focuses on football. He has the chance to be a very good QB. So far his troubles are minor and if he corrects them now won't be nothing long term. I was ten times worse in my party days and I straightened out my life. If I could do it anybody can.
