Growing up, every Saturday my mom would make pounds of fried, breaded chicken cutlets! Getting home late Saturday night-early Sunday morning, I would dive into the fridge, open the ziplock bag, grab some lemon juice and feast!!!!

Yes, when I went to school in Austin, there was a hole-in-the-wall place on 6th street that would sell gyros into the early morning hours as the bars closed. Pretty incredible.

When you get to AZ there is a good place, "Niro's Gyro's" I believe the name is on 48th St. just south of Elliot.

What is funny is I have no idea how to pronounce the name of these damn things. Is it "Gear-o", "Year-o" or "Jie-ro". I just ask for the #1.

If you like the double double, ask them for a 4x4. They will make you as big of a burger as you want. I have seen someone order a 10x10 (10 patties, 10 slices of cheese) and he finished it too.
