At 5-11, 190 pounds, he has good size. He also has run the 40 in 4.35

He definitely has some speed. Later in the article they compare his story to KW's and DRC's. It sure would be nice for this kid to be a find.

Most of this is already known but I'll highlight an portion I found intriguing...

Toler, if he makes it, will have taken the long road to success. After high school, Toler lacked the grades to get a Division-I scholarship and spent a few months stocking shelves at the local J.C. Penney. Craving a football fix, Toler joined a semi-pro team filled with over-the-hill former small-school players and figured out he was way above their level. He then heard about St. Paul's starting up a football program and enrolled.

I talked with the SID at St. Paul's this offseason, and he raved about Toler, who was -- by miles -- the best player in the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association and maybe the best the conference ever has produced. Toler was two interceptions short of the all-time Division II mark of 19.

CB Greg Toler: Video at 3.39 Toler makes a Int and takes to the house. Only to be called back by a penality.

This is from the Cactus bowl.

It looked like he was playing against high school talent (I'm sure it was). If he makes it, then the cliche "diamond in the rough" will be a huge understatement. I'm definitely rooting for the guy, but I find it hard to believe we couldn't have snagged him in a later round or as even an UDFA. Oh well, I trust management and the scouts.

"This link is about a judge that didn't work too much" -- select the Cactus Bowl clip on the left side of the link page. The Toler's interception is about 3 minutes and 38 seconds into the clip.

For Whiz to pick Toler in the fourth means they saw something that they liked. A something that's a surety in their opinion. From what I read, they did plenty of research on Toler.

Considering 15 different teams flew him to their facilities to give him a private workout, highly unlikely.

DB Gregory Toler, Saint Paul’s (6-0, 191, Sr.) — Another candidate competing to be this year’s Rodgers-Cromartie. Toler is a big, fast, and physical corner who was a 2008 All-CIAA selection. Participated in the East Coast All Star game, Cactus Bowl, and 2009 NFL Combine after leading the CIAA with 6 INTs (ranked third in NCAA DII) and 19 passes defended. Toler was excellent in the Cactus Bowl producing one interception that he returned for a game record 44 yards. The Washington DC native has 4.37 speed in the 40-yard dash and had 14 career interceptions in college. Performing for scouts from at least 10 teams at Richmond’s pro day, Toler ran a 4.45 in the 40, jumped 33½-inch vertically, ran a 6.95 three-cone drill and did 13 bench press reps of 225 pounds

my understanding is that a very cold rain fell during the entire Richmond pro day.
