I was talking about Butler. Meaning that even Butler has a say in where he goes. He had a shortlist.
Yeah, almost all those high salaried stars have a shortlist except Doncic.

Yup. That would be the perfect team to trade him to, with future picks being the key to the deal.Reading rumblings that the Mavs might pursue Durant this summer.
I'd be all over that. Picks and pick swaps from them are likely to be really juicy... especially if they gut their team for Durant. Kyrie is old, Durant is old, AD is getting old and made of glass. That team isn't winning anything of import in the near term and if they dump a bunch of picks then they are going to be hot garbage in a couple years.
But, it's twitter rumblings, odds are it's BS. Not really sure how they'd make the money work.
They could trade us ALL those picks they got for Luka!!! Oops, no. I wonder if Mavs fans think their trade was worse than us getting KD? At least KD has been putting up points for us, and has been relatively injury free by KD standards.Reading rumblings that the Mavs might pursue Durant this summer.

I thought he got injured in the layup line before he had played a single game...or maybe that was just supposed to be his home debut. For the record, KD was injured when we traded for him and missed his first 6 games here before debuting. He played in 3 games and was taken out for a month while in the layup line. He missed 10 games then. He played in 5 games before being sat for the final 2. Giving him a total of 8 out 26 games. We'll see if AD can beat that before the playoffs start. The West playoff race is tighter so I don't think he'll get any rest games at the very end.

The FO has been trying for months to no avail. Fans here are still upset. The wrath of Dallas fans may be even worse.
How does well explain trading a young superstar in Luka for no good reason other than money?

And when the FO gives a lousy answer to why the team did so. OofIt's hard for fans to understand when a team voluntarily self-destructs.
.Is KD the most overrated player of all time?
Is KD the most overrated player of all time?
.Most overrated Sun? Absolutely
All-time is tricky with a lot of variables so I wouldn't go that far.
You can't call a player that put up the numbers he has overrated. He is one of the best of all time. Period end of discussion. He didn't get it done here. That is not entirely on him. This front office sucks. Is KD the most overrated player of all time?
What about putting his team on his shoulders resulting in team wins? He appears content to put up his numbers win or lose. You can't all a player that put up the numbers he has overrated. The team around him sucks. You can't do it alone. Book has had an off year and teams in this era are deep. KD is not responsible for the construction of the team around him. That is the FO. They thought they could put garbage around 2 players and not worry about defense. Even Lebron couldn't get it done as great as he is until he had enough guys around him. What about putting his team on his shoulders resulting in team wins? .Durant is Carmelo with a better publicist. Very similar numbers and results as a team's #1 option. If Carmelo elected ride Lebron's coattails in Miami then they'd each have 2 rings.

I would take Barkley over CP3 as best player to not win a ring. If you go back and look at Barkley's stats, and clutch made baskets in the playoffs, arguably the rest of his team let him down. He was taking on tough defensive assignments, too. It didn't help he played in the Bulls juggernaut era.I think you absolutely can.
As other's mentioned, Carmelo Anthony put up monster numbers, but I think Carmelo shouldn't even sniff the hall of fame, he is an all time empty stat player.
Durant isn't in that territory of overrated, but the people that try to put him as a top 10 player all time are out of their gourd. He's a great shooter, he puts up stats, he's not a leader or team player by any sense, and on any given night you gotta take away 6-12 points off his contribution to account for him just tossing the ball to the wrong team for a free basket. I have truly never seen a "superstar" who is as sloppy with the ball as he is. And his decision to join the Warriors did catastrophic damage to his legacy... especially when they went and won another title after he left.
Having watched both players, IMO, Chris Paul is a significantly better and more impactful player than Kevin Durant... and I don't think the comparison is even close. Chris Paul is probably the best player to not win a ring.
Once Barkley took the court, he was as competitive and hard working as they come. He was a monster. But it's what Chuck did when he wasn't balling that kept us from having a title or two. And if he'd been half as dedicated in his preparation and conditioning as MJ was he'd be a consensus top 5 all time great.I would take Barkley over CP3 as best player to not win a ring.
